I'd probably call it "dynamically based tendencies according to your opponent". A true scouting report. Synergy is used now as a scouting service for teams. I dont think live is using it as that persay on a future game to game basis. I'm guessing in real life, teams now look at SIMILIAR teams to them and their personell and look at scouting footage in those similiarly ran "experiments" and see how the stars played. In real life,a bobcats team wouldnt want to see how kobe does against the celtics neccersarily but a team just like them in style and personell.
The most basic example can involve the lakers facing the bobcats. Old style tendencies, revolving on the past, state that they love to pick and pop 25% of the time and drive only 10%, just to throw some numbers out. But against Charlotte whos defense is crappy (which can be backed up with statistics showing they give up tons of drives, thanks to synergy) kobe can change his tendency skill set slightly to go in for the kill on drives.
Against a celtics team, can kobe go in for the kill? No. Can todays tendencies dictate that properly? I'm not too sure? Implementing a true scouting report tendency skill set would be out of this world imo.
Using synergy's figures, a team can look at the other teams strengths and weaknesses, then look at its own player personell, tendencies, and ratings, and then dictate which sort of tendency base is needed for that current game. It;s done in real life and can be done in game imo
Amazing stuff in store with the power of synergys computer run numbers
