Re: Official NBA Live 2009 Impressions Thread

Played a full game last night with PM's sliders...Toronto (me) vs Philly. Great game, the spacing was brilliant and I really like the ability to call plays via the DNA / triangle button.

The spacing really is superb...when you grab an ORB and then kick it out to your shooter for a 3 ball and he has time to get set before shooting...

I then put in NBA 2K9 and played the same game...Toronto (me) vs Philly...and it was great also. 2K9 does play more realistically, and has better off ball movemet / team styles...so I'm going with that for my season and using LIVE for one off games.

You could easily play a season with either though...

It's a good season for basketball games

Listen, I really like LIVE a lot this year, a lot.

that really shouldn't happen, but if these players go back to there positions when the season starts, then that ok. I just wanna know can you guys fix the season sim stats, they don;t seem correct.

did you play with PM sliders with the AI on superstar, if so how was it. I can't play with AI on superstar, they don't miss.

Re: Official NBA Live 2009 Impressions Thread

Two things that really hurt the game:

1. Effective against lead pass against other users. If u see a big running in the middle of court, 9/10 times its an easy basket. Seems as if ur player just dont want to get back on D fast enough.

2. Its already hard to contest a shot. When u finally do, they're either bailed out with a foul call (which is cool somtimes) or the defender brings down his hands (why!)...and they hit the shot (CPU too)

User vs User experience is cool besides these things. Except sometimes player force their way to the basket and make circus shots or shots with contact all too often. Then when u do block something its a foul called. Again, everything else is gravy.

Question: Does the crowd chant MVP when star players are at the free-throw line late in games?

Staples chanted "MVP" for Kobe Bryant when he was at the foul line in the 4th quarter.

No other player deserves this chant IMO.

Please ... both Chris Paul and LeBron James should get it too.
