Realy simple! I don't know why this has not been added yet:

1) Warm-up mode before the game. a simple 2 minute shoot around, with the option to skip it as well.

2) Players wear warm-ups on the bench.

3) Players get up off of the bench when a substitution is called.

4) Players can dive out of bounds for loose balls.

These should be fairly simple to add.

I agree with ALL of those. Simple additions that will add to the realism.

I agree with the person who mentioned improved icon passing where you can tell your teammate off the ball what to do.

Ability to choose whether to throw a lob, bullet or bounce pass.

Improve the directional passing

Shotstick option

First person gameplay like in NFL2k5 where maybe you can only see your hand dribbling and doing crossovers. Include it online play also I think it would really immerse the player in the game.

More camera options or make the camera fully customizable.

More atmosphere. You should be able to tell when your playing at home or on the road when a game is meaningless or a conference playoff game or the NBA finals.

BIG celebrations for winning the conference and even BIGGER celebrations for winning the finals.

Pre, halftime and post game shows with analysts in studio breaking down the action and weekly wrap ups with highlights also ala NFL2k5. Make the game as close to a tv broadcast as possible.

Coaches should be fired and hired and should be shown on the sidelines with their new teams. Coaches should also add to a teams overrall rating and change teams play style.

Signature offensive, defensive and dribble animations.

Time released content including new animations, announcer dialogue, hidden players and music tracks to keep the game fresh all year but I guess that could all be done with patches too.

Text to speech program like http://www.oddcast.com/home/demos/tt...le.php?sitepal so when you CAP you will always hear their name in the game and in highlights

Have to have better net physics. That is a must. Really takes the fun out of jump shooting.

Create a team with the ability to fully design your arena and create your own logo maybe make it possible to upload something you made in photoshop into the game. The announcer should say your team and city name also.

Add the ability to upload a pic of yourself for CAP too. I see that have that in Tiger Woods.

Coaches and players should be able to argue calls and get technicals and even thrown out the game.

i disagree with that. i think live should keep their current configuration where the right stick is used exclusively for dribbling moves. this gives you way more options for dribbling. 2k uses the right stick as a shot stick, and as a result their dribbling controls are extremely limited.

Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

Beluba,

i've mentioned it before, but let's get a little more specific on the defensive improvements for 2010.

it is just WAAAAAAAAAAAY too easy to score. players are hitting all kinds of leaners and circus shots all over the place. i've seen periods of 4+ minutes without a missed shot. it's too easy to just get inside and toss up a freak layup that goes in.

the success rate of shots should be greatly lowered so the shot is affected by the difficulty of the shot and how closely the shot was contested - that way you will feel like your defense actually has an impact on the game.

add more body contact in the paint so players can't just waltz into the paint and shoot or dunk easily over a crowd of defenders.

make the defensive AI more aware and aggressive (especially in the paint). as of now they will often just watch interior/post passes whiz by them without sticking a hand out to deflect the ball.

improve rebounding control. rebounding is very slow, unresponsive and frustrating. as of now your player doesn't jump quickly enough and he doesn't jump in the proper direction to get the ball. nba 2k7 had this problem, but they fixed it in 2k8 and the rebounding in 2k8 felt perfect - players would jump properly and aggressively to get the ball.

make players more aggressive in going after rebounds and loose balls. players should dive after the ball if it is going out of bounds rather than just watch it bounce past them.

minor fix; occasionally (if not all the time) after a timeout is called after a made basket late in the game, the ball should advance to half-court; it didn't. I know this happened quite often in 2008, not sure if it's fixed in 2009 yet.

1. DNA-based player minutes
It's a shame DNA can't effect the minutes a guy plays in a game, so, say if Bosh averages 40 minutes a game in the real NBA, it would also happen in Live if you use auto subs or play the Raps.

2. Offline playclock adjustment

one other suggestion (for offline play): It's a shame the shot and play clocks didn't stop while you were using that in-game sub thing. I know you can't do that for online play, but I find subbing cumbersome and have had the odd clock violation because I was trying to set my subs

The cameras ARE customizable this year - you can change zoom level and camera height, just like 2k. Mind you, there are only five camera choices (though I think 2k camera choices are a bit overkill. Half those views you would never, ever use)
