These passes/pass anims need to be in Live 2010:

Wrap around passes/quick drop passes to big men under the basket.

Watch this, specifically at the -

marks.

This would add a whole new level of gameplay variety imo.

This year, Live already made great strides in the drive-and-dish/kick out and pick-and-roll aspects of the game, thanks in great part to its contextual passing animations. Still, I want to be able to drive to the basket, attract the opposition's center, make a quick drop pass or jump in the air and make a sweet wrap around pass to my now open big fella down low. I think that's missing in this year's Live.

And I don't mean simply driving to the lane, attracting the center, and doing a regular pass anim to my big. I really mean contextual drop/wrap around pass anims, like the way they have a variety of contextual drive-and-dish and pick-and-roll pass anims this year. Those passes give the game a nice, realistic flow, and the anims themselves are well done.

I also think that they should add the ability to pass out of lay-ups for next year.

Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

one thing i've noticed when playing this game is how the defender when getting back on defense will go into a strafing animation where he should just freely spin around and run back. I hope that is fixed. You could almost add a strafe button instead of making that animation automatic.. I know you have the lockdown feature now but you could make it a strafe/lockdown button. Transition defense in general could use some work.

I also hope the rotations are more authentic.

I'm also hoping EA can tune the gameplay a bit especially for online play and head2head and leagues and stuff to make it more realistic. Fixing the transition defense would go a long way in doing that.

I'm sure there are other things, but I'm really happy with Live 09 this year and it's an awesome game.

I also just picked up NCAA and it seems like these games really compliment each other well. I'd like to see that expanded on and perhaps incorporate different things that you can do between games.

I'd like to see an offensive system that dictates a players success based on the type of quality shots he takes during the game. For example if I simply start jacking up crazy 3's with Nash then his confidence and composure rating should drop to a level that may make it difficult for him to hit shots...meaning his rating should drop within the game dynamically. I'd like to see players get COLD

On the flipside if my 6th man comes in and gives me quality minutes and takes smart shots, hits them etc...he should get a small ratings boost and get HOT or go on a roll..be in the ZONE. I simply hate to see a guy wide open and its almost a given that he's gonna knock the shot down...Conversely NBA players are great shooters but I'd simply like to see some elements of skill and strategy implemented in shooting the ball.

- A global player editor. Not just team-by-team. If you look at Madden's rosters, they have one category where you can see the entire NFL. NBA Live needs that, with the ability to do a global edit of any category. For that matter, Madden could use the same thing.

- In a Vetzballin nba2k9 league, they have a rule where certain players can't be traded - franchise players as it were. Maybe NBA Live could have a similar setup for dynasty, where you checkmark players for every team that can't be traded (Bryant, Chris Paul, LeBron... you get the idea)

Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

Some things i think should be added in...

-More ingame atmosphere, eg
Team bench celebrating after a big shot(bit like 2k).
Crowd standing up during dying seconds of a close game.
Just more atmosphere to get you excited to play.

-Ball physics, eg
We shouldnt be able to tell if every jump shot is going to go in or not, simply by looking at the height of the ball.
The ball shouldnt always go in the same way, maybe it could bounce/roll around a bit.

-Hustle, eg
On a loose ball players should be diving and tipping it to their team mates
If the ball is going out of bounds, the players should commit to keep the ball in and launch out of bounds to save it.

-Passing, eg
Players could pass much smoother and more synced to their movements
Specific players could make more trick passes, like nash on the drive could maybe dish out a nice behind the back

-Rebounds, eg
Players should battle for rebounds, no just jumping up and leaving it because an oppisition player is about to get it
Also adding in tip ins and putbacks would be nice

I would like to see classic players added back to the game(70s, 80s all star ect). Is this a contract issue or is it something you all chose not to include?

I can answer for Steph. Contract issue.
They have to get signed agreements for every player that appears in any EA Sports game.

Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

Also, I think I mentioned this before but can you add over the back calls? I'm tired of being in good position only to have guys coming over the back and get the rebound EVERY SINGLE TIME.

How come there is an auto double team option in the pause menu defensive adjustments but it's not in the in game defensive adjustments???

Before the patch even when I put no double team on everybody I could still use the double button to call a double manually, but now it doesn't work. Did you guys make a change to this???

Tighter animations with a face up defensive button. Many guys just herk and jerk there way into the lane, and when I try to stay with them, i end up turning my back or going in circles. Just too much going on.

More contact, more contact, more contact. Even though the physical contact in this game is good there needs to be more. Guys simply just take a James, Bryant or Anthony baseline first with the ball in right hand, do a quick between the legs dribble to the left hand and hit the dunk/layup button. The defense never stays with them, easy 2 everytime.

Tighten up on the baseline. Guys simply just drive the baseline and hit the dunk/layup button. Not enough contact around that area.

Redo the code where the guys just stand there until the opposing team touches the ball, then they go back on defense. They should be moving consistently no matter what.

Of course you already know about the fastbreaks, the need to be fixed. The above^^^ should fix it a bit, but I'm sure it needs to be coded different. Guys just do not react when teams are on breaks. Easy buckets everytime.

Defensive matchups, make it where I can put a particular defender on a player I want for the whole game no matter what position the opposition puts the player in. People moving Kobe to PG, no problem, Prince should still be guarding him.

More DEFENSIVE 3 second calls. You guys did a pretty good job with offensive 3 seconds. But just because you run a 1-3-1 that does not mean you can just camp in the lane with Yao Ming. This is not NCAA basketball.
