Freethrows are killing me

I am currently using Playmakers FT Setting at 100. What can I do to get the Hum/Player to get better other than practicing. Can anyone offer a lower setting that still keeps the game even?
This is the only area that is killing the game for me, all my games are 1-2 point loses, but I have missed 15-20 FT

Lower it 50 when you shoot but then switch it back to 100 for the CPU or else they will shoot 100% on anything lower.

How's the new rosters working out for you?

Do the CPU attack the basket enough?

You gotta cheat like I do and lower the settings to 25.

That's the only problems I was having with game play until I drastically reduced it down to almost rookie mode.

I found this little bit of information on how to shoot Free-throws:


Some will also want to change the free throw settings after they get a load of the new mechanics. This is by far the biggest change to the series as far as gameplay is concerned. No longer are free throws shot by lining up moving targets. Now players must use the right analog to attempt the baskets. You will have to move the stick down and then flick it up to mimic the foul shooter’s loading up and releasing the ball. In principal, I like the change up, but I just couldn’t master the controls and you can’t practice them in the virtual court. I have seen others get the mechanics right pretty quickly so it seems to depend on each individual gamer as to where the free throw difficulty should be set.

The new Rosters, along with the rating/setting changes has made this game UNREAL!!!! If you play good Defense you will more times than not be rewarded. I finally see great floor spacing that everyone has been talking about, also when I first had Live I said the camera movement was unplayable but I have found that to not be the case once you get used to it.
In closing, thanks for all your hard work, EA would be fools to not at least inquire about the things you do to their games. Sales would go through the roof if they let you have a hand in the development of their games. Peace

Hey Guys,

I know that this will sound like I am making it easier than it is, but try moving the analog stick back and pushing it forward just as the ball reaches above the player's head. I have been making them at about 44% so far. It is really a rhythm thing more than a timing thing. One fluid motion. My free throw difficulty is set at 65. I really don't care if the CPU hits most or all of their free throws because I don't foul them enough for the game to hinge on whether or not they shoot a good percentage. However, they foul ME enough for my game to hinge on how well I shoot. Just try and think rhythm as opposed to timing. I hope that this will help someone.
