Playmakers/Re-Built Default All-Star Sliders

I started up a new thread to post some sliders that I think takes the game back closer to DEFAULT LEVEL.

These will be sliders mostly touched upon from what EA had listed at it's DEFAULT SIM settings when we first purchased the game. I lowered in my opinion only the sliders that enhanced an arcade type feel right out the box. There are certain sliders that I felt didn't need lowered to much because I still wanted to keep that fun factor involved in the game. Free-Style control use by the CPU is the major slider. I my opinion the human player abuses that aspect more than the CPU so I decided to go back up close to DEFAULT for the CPU because when set low it took away from certain players like Nash, LBJ, Kobe and Shaq's unique skill's.

I also went back to DEFAULT GAMESPEED because the more I observed after a month since it's release is that EA actually have solid gameplay speed at DEFAULT. This game is really not as face a pace as it was in years past. Compared to other games it might seem fast but Live captures actual NBA speed better this year in my opinion. In fact I could even argue that at DEFAULT it's still rather slow if you actually watch or attend an NBA game. I think initially I was lowering Gamespeed to keep scores down but there are
certain sliders you can lower to assist with this aspect.

tnx compadre for your continous work on making the game exciting. ill try this one out. i have quite some problem though competing agaist human player. the offensive foul is quite bit high still at 75. my opponent often abuses charge use. i use ur slider and we have a tourney using it. we usually bet around 10 bucks per game.

Hey playmaker, are these an update of the last sliders or are these a completely different slider set on their own?

These were actually created for Human VS. CPU play.

If you want to use them for Head to Head play LOWER Reach-In to 25, in air collision to 50.

These are COMPLETELY different Sliders that I created. I went back and adjusted all sliders from Default Level.

I actually like these sliders much more than your others. Better sense of flow from the CPU.

I tried to keep these as close to the Default level as possible. I basically just toned down certain sliders that put the game over the top to much (arcade).

Re: Playmakers/Re-Built Default All-Star Sliders

I went and made all shooting sliders equal for CPU and Human.

Re: Playmakers/Re-Built Default All-Star Sliders

I went and made a few changes. I placed an asteric (*) next to each slider effected.

All shooting sliders are equal and I lowered Fakeout Discipline down to 75 simply because it became too difficult at times to get to the basket and some guy's like Kobe for the CPU had trouble shaking their man on the perimeter which shouldn't be the case all game.

It seems like Poor Release set low really effects both human and CPU Mid range game too much. Overall though I think alot of stuff is more fluid now by simply using this 25/50/75 approach in sliders.

You can lower Poor Release at your personal desire if shots become too easy. That slider has huge effect on overall shooting this year.

Also forgot to mention a couple of things that will help make things play better. On Defense try to use the PG as your only defender. Let your AI teammates defend their man. I usually let my AI Teammates crash the boards on their own. I don't shoot and then go after evey offensive rebound I usually get back on defense and it helps to lower Offensive rebound stats for me. Study the plays because it helps to get more realism involved in the games. The CPU will definetly move the ball if you don't allow the PG to blow by you initially. I don't go for many blocks or steals I chose to let my AI teammates makes those decision's on their own. I don't run my offense through a guy like Michael Olawakandi just to see if i can abuse the CPU low post defender. I play at NBA pace and my scores stay down on mnay nights. The CPU doesn't play crazy either with sliders and playbooks they try to execute more frequently. The arcade aspects don't happen very often unless the Human player is abusing the FS controls because the CPU actually plays normal even with FS at 50 for them.

If you have trouble staying in front of a guy at PG then increase On BALL DEF ASST up from 50 to about 65-75. But mostly I kept 80% of the sliders equal on both sides.

Re: Playmakers/Re-Built Default All-Star Sliders

I set the STEAL/INT Slider both to 25/25 for Human and CPU. The only problem is tunovers should be between 12-18 per game so this might limit the amount of turnovers on both sides. But I wanted to get and many sliders as equal as possible.
