New Record

I just recorded 20 missed A+ shots wide open in one game. This is why 2k12 is so flawed. Funny thing is the CPU keeps draining F and D shots on me.

totally agree. if your rating and consistency are high enough you should make at least 50% of those shots. i know you cant score all the time but you shouldnt have to put up 30 shots to have a 40 point game

I never really play against the CPU, just online, but I feel like so much of it is random or getting into a rhythm. I like to play with jerry west and a few games ago I missed 3 wide open 3s with him, im thinking did I break this guy or what!

but you get him to make a shot or 2 then it all comes, and you can heat up

Exactly and what bothers me is if the CPU took 20 wide open shots they would hit 17/20 at least in game. We only get this % if we go into practice mode. This game has two set of rules!

The Play I use is called " DAL Jet Over" Call it for your SG, SF, they will be super wide open 70% of the time coming off a double screen. I decided to run this play over and over because I was playing one of those game in which I knew the fix was in for me to lose.

The ball was literally rolling out of the hoop with perfect release A+ shots. This normally doesn't happen this bad but as I said, it was one of them games where the CPU wants you to lose no matter what. The CPU actually drain a F rated 3pt shot in my face. This is when i decided to experiment with this money play.

That's an interesting experiment. I was playing some my player and I see all the crazy **** you are talking about. SUNNY ****ING WEEMS hit a turn around fadeaway falling out of bounds three ball! To send it it OT! Of course my player is literally broken? (Ins cls mid ratings all above 80. I run a few screens, get open in a shot I know my guy can hit, and missed 3 times in a row with perfect release and nothing less than B quality. (That means defender/hand were mildly close and did influence the shot a little. )

I honestly think 2 k likes to toy with us to made the game interesting. Basketball is a game of runs, and in this game it can just get comical. I am referring to online games and local games vs my roommate.

We played a lot this year and at the end we both ended up almost tied in wins. We are both good players. Its almost impossible for it to go back and forth and have a winner each games. We did the association mode and we both got teams and were able to play 4 times in a NBA league year. So we knew our teams. (Just trying to get at we weren't doing 1v1 with random teams)

I truly think that locally, teams can have some unknown advantage with how they play on the court. It can start out in small stretches, where you notice your team is picking up all the lose balls, not committing any ******** fouls, actually running to the right position, and finally your shots seem higher percentage. We all know those shots that we know aren't going in due to great defense but sometimes it goes in anyway. Those shots have a much greater chance in this period. It just seems like every move you are making is right, and it shows up on the scoreboard. Also one I just thought up you know those insane steal animation where they mug him in front and bat the ball behind and run and get it? Or the one where you rape them doggy style from behind and sometimes get a steal. These events can happen for you much more often when you have the momentum going your way.

But watch out after halftime, your opponents team will have the momentum and will be getting every defensive rb, tons on offensive rb, stealing the ball from CP3 and Maravich with ease, and sometimes you just know you aren't supposed to win.
