Question Signature layups

Ok, frustration is really sinking in now - There are some outstanding signature layups in this game, yet I hardly ever see any of them triggered - can anyone of you tell me if there is a specific way to trigger them, or is it really just based on proximity and angle/randomness? The only ones I ever seem to be able to pull off are Jordan's circus reverse layups. Can't seem to pull off his hanging one handed shot or blind reverse circus shot. Same goes for players like CP3 and Crawford - I can't pull their sig layups off at all.

Cheers for any help....

Re: Signature layups

Yeah, I really want to do those layups too! I just can not figure out how to do them. I also hate it when a player has a wide open lane to the hoop and does some fancy layup and get blocked instead of just doing a simple layup.....

Re: Signature layups

well i have crawfords lay-up package for MP and ive pulled it off once in the 15 games since i purchased it.. i think you have to be in the paint just below the free throw line for that particular sig lay-up, also i remember there was a video on youtube from 2k11 (i think) that showed how to do it

That really does happen too often. You'll have a wide open lane to the bucket but for some reason your player does a double clutch layup that gets blocked, or he tries a reverse layup when he clearly should have just laid it in.

Jamal Crawford's animation is very situation based, and you need the ball in the correct hand when you do it on either side. It's not just going to happy, you have to practice for those situations. Keep searching, there's actually a thread in here somewhere that explains how to do it and others like it.

Up on the right analog stick while you're not sprinting.. For signature dunks its up on the right stick while sprinting..

Go to freestyle practice mode and experiment with different angles and hands you're dribbling with.
