Playing this is a pain.

Seriously, I am more times frustrated at having to deal with this game then having fun. It is literally impossible to have a realistic game in 2k. My last game, Timberwolves vs. Houston, had each teams 3pt attempts at 30. That is ridiculous. Also, I am sorry, I practiced for 30 mins learning the Timberwolves hot zones and shot stick timing so you cant say I just stink. Love was 5-20 from the field, ridiculous.

To add to that, if i even dare dribble in the paint its going to be stripped, I had 11 turnovers in 5:00 because I try and drive to the lane with rubio. I cant complete one dang game because I get so mad at the ridiculousness of this game..... What the heck went wrong 2k.

Re: Playing this is a pain.

Have you tried playing it at an easier difficulty level or adjusting sliders?

I had to play it on the easiest setting for a few games to get all the timing and game mechanics down. Now it seems to easy at times and I'm considering adjusting the sliders.

Just offering suggestions because as far as I can tell, it's a pretty fun game.

I am using one of the sliders on OS forums, its set at pro, I mean I can keep the game close, the final score was 96-98, its the fact that it was just not realistic enough for me... Its every game too that they have an extreme amount of 3pt attempts, and there is nothing I can do about it. I try and control the guy who is hitting the three but then there is another guy who is being super loosely covered to takes a shot from the arch. 30 attempts per game is just ridiculous.

What bothers me more is how horribly broken 3PT shooting is in My Player mode.

I wish I could offer you some solid advice to get it more to your liking but I mainly play MP. Perhaps someone will see the thread and give you some good advice or adjustments you can make to make the game more enjoyable for you.

Either way good luck man.

Although all I mostly play is MP I've yet to experience this because my MP isn't a 3 point shooter type. In fact I don't think I ever shoot outside of 15 ft or so.

I see people in the MP thread that have 3 pt specialists and make them pretty well. Maybe they have some suggestions?

Thanks I appreciate it, I sadly still enjoy the game even though it makes my blood boil. And yeah I kinda have gotten into MP, and dont mind it, maybe Ill play that more to ease my anger.

Maybe it's case to case, but I've seen a few articles complaining about similar things.

If you have perfect release and great ratings you shouldn't be missing wide open shots. My guy is lucky to hit 3/15.

I kinda have a similar case, I dont usually take 3pt shots with my MP but I never make the wide open ones, its always when I have a defender when I make it haha...

I read somewhere that it may have something to do with your shooting percentage overall?

Follow me on this one...

Are you taking a lot of layups or dunks or close shots that are dropping frequently and effectively raise your shooting percentage?

Say you're shooting at something like a 65+ % clip. Maybe your farther out shots miss more often regardless of how open you were or how well rated your shot was because your overall shooting % is high and it compensates by making your farther out shots miss?

Dunno really, just trying to give a possible explanation. Maybe take less shots overall and really focus on your 3's and outside jumpers and see if that helps your 3pt %.

Not trying to say that it's ok that this is happening to you (far from it). just trying to give a possible explanation as to why it could be happening.
