any tips to beat 1-3-1 zone defense

1-3-1 zone is my go to Defense in certain spands. I bust it out when I notice people are pounding it inside or trying to pass it down low constantly. That being said way to beat it is smart outside shooting, and 2nd chance points. I usually give up alot of offense rebounds when in the 1-3-1 then I do in man-to-man.

It's hard to explain. You basically spread the floor. I played against and my team played a 1-3-1 zone. I was the 6'8 guy shooting 3's so I loved it. 1-3-1's main weakness is if you can penetrate. The best way to beat it is to try get the defense to collapse and make 1 pass and maybe an extra pass. The main spot open is going to be the side 3's, more towards center court. You can also swing the ball from one corner to the other and sometimes catch the defense shifting. This is advice for in real life. I have no idea how the game or cpu plays a 1-3-1 in the game really. Best way is to pass a lot, get penetration in the paint area and shoot well.

Dude defitely NO. I've never played Lebron and the heat, never. Actually I am using the Knicks. Simply wanted to know tips to beat the zone defense. Can you provide more constructive suggestions rather than doubt?

They're not cutting to the basket on their own. That's not what I meant. I mean they're wide open in the corner for a 3 but as soon as I pass them the ball (Not matter if I lead pass to keep them in the corner), they'll still cut to the basket and its a steal almost everytime because of it. This wasn't in 2k11.

The defensive recovery to ball speed in this game is flawed anyways in favor of the defense. Passing is just tooooo slow for me. And when ever I want to pass sometimes I'll hop step before I pass and at the same time the person im passing to will slide over closer to me alittle. Just some super nintendo passing going on in this game.

I'm sorry I should have put an /s on my post add I was joking. But just penetrate and kick to the baseline add that spur is wide open for 3's and drives. Was that constructive enough? /s lol jk

Press the left directional pad and choose spread floor. I use a lot of 1-3-1 zone. It works well vs players that drive the whole game, but if you spread the floor, you will get a lot of open shots.
