Will there be another patch?

This patch did not fix the main issues for me.
Which are:
1.) speed
2.) Ability to beat man off drible/drive by AI
3.) Passing on fastbreak (it is a little better)

Those issues make this game almost unplayable for me. I can't sit and shoot jumpshots all day. Derrick Rose should be able to beat most players without a dribble move let alone a center.

When I played the game post patch. I got a steal with Lamar Odom, had no one in front me for the fastbreak, and had Channing Frye immediately run, and get in front of me, and prevent me from going further, all before I reached half court--I immediately turned off my console.

If anyone knows if there will be another patch, please let me know. I need to know if I should sell this game now, while its still worth something (I need Christmas money) or hold onto it, in hopes for another patch...

This.

You have to be creative on fastbreaks. Pass it around, try to anticipate what the defenders will do, look for openings, make moves, throw up alley-oops when you have the opening, etc.

Yes, the speed of defenders can sometimes be an issue, but it's not NEARLY as "gamebreaking" as MANY of you are making it out to be.

I mean think about it, how many break-away FBs do you see per-game? 1 or 2 MAX. And you can get at least that in this game, just pass it to the player who sprints out ahead of the defense in transition.

1-2 a game max?!? do you watch basketball or are you just making a stupid comment to try and belittle the thread starter...here's a link which gives you the stats of all NBA teams and their average FAST BREAK POINTS PER GAME

http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat...oints-per-game

ALL 30 teams average over 10 fast break ppg, so quit with the 1-2 max bull****

Thread starter makes good points - the speed is a huge issue, there is no way a center with a 40 speed should be able to track down a speedy point guard on the break and block him...also the ability to drive past a defender is just absurd...the NBA is a one on one iso game - and the fact that derrick rose can't even shake jj reddick is just absurd...there are serious issues with the ability to drive past AI defenders and get a good drive to get a close shot/dunk, or try to draw a foul, which also needs major work because you barely get any calls at all from CPU contact, but are quick to get a foul called on you on the defensive end for petty little bull**** touch fouls

This game is far from perfect - while there are good intentions to it and trying to make it a more realistic game, to me this year's version is no different than the madden that came out this year....it seemed rushed to be out and was very much incomplete in all around game play...i'm very dissappointed in 2K this year so far - hopefully another patch that addresses these issues can get it back to 2K11 status...if so, then this game will be better than 2K11 off the sheer fact that it's good gameplay and the revamped post play, which is really good and tuned this year

Re: Will there be another patch?

I've never had a problem with a 40 rated Center keeping up with a Derrick Rose type of player after the patch, maybe i'm doing something different? Whenever a guy like Roy Hibbert is trying to catch up to me, i use the lead dribble motion and just shoot right past them.

I average about 20 Fast Break Points per game.

Re: Will there be another patch?

The fastbreak passing has improved post patch, the issue is speed. Speed ratings don't seem to matter much on fastbreaks. Centers can hawk down or keep up with pg's. Im really hoping for one more patch to address this issue, the lack of double teams issues, and the lack of A.I. spacing on offense, especially if you call for a pick and roll, your CPU teammates will not spread out and will get in the way of the pick and roll alot of times. For the way 2K kind of stumbled out of the gates with NBAK12, and how the lockout messed things up, I'm hoping 2K releases one more patch. Alot of people are just now starting to buy this game because the NBA season is just starting, the patch fixed some things and improved the game, but there are a couple of things 2K needs to address in NBA2K12, then the game will be even greater.
