Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Had a bad day yesterday, had a friggin awesome day today... huh... .-.
WEEK 2 and 3 UPDATE
GAME 4
Short-handed and against the Miami Heat, I was expecting a blow out, but the game ended 98-97, being tied at the half, and Miami winning by just one point.
Lebron James contributed for the Heat with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. The other two of the big three also produced, with Wade also scoring 31, and Bosh having a double double. Udonis Haslem was surprisingly quiet on the offensive end, with just 2 points on 1-2 attempts, but he snagged 9 rebounds.
Paul Millsap led the Jazz with 19 points and 8 rebounds, and filling up the stat sheet with everything else. Jared Dudley had a solid game, almost scoring a double double. and Zabian Dowdell had a great back-up PG game. He scored 12 points in 9 minutes on 3-6 and was 3-4 from three point range. Derrick Favors was quiet with just 2 points and 4 rebounds as well.
BAD NEWS
Antoine Wright sprained his wrist, and will be hurt for several weeks, Ime Udoka will be taking his position in the line-up.
OTHER NEWS
Sherron Collins was signed to a small contract while George Hill is out and Devin Harris is receiving limited minutes from his injury, but he didn't really get many minutes this game.
GAME 5
Against the Magic, the injury-plagued Jazz pulled out a 88-86 win with an amazing 3rd quarter. both teams were very effective this game. Many players also shined in this game.
Paul Millsap led the way for the Jazz, with 3 blocks, 21 points, and 11 rebounds. Al Jefferson also produced, with 15 points and just 2 rebounds short of a double-double. Gallinari, in his limited minutes, also added another 10 points. Deshawn Stevenson, who seems to not just be able to get into the Jazz way of playing, went 0-4 and had zero points, and if he continues to play like this, he will continue to be demoted, once being the 7th man, he is now the 9th, and he could always be trade bait.
Dwight Howard had a very impressive game, with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Gilbert Arenas looked like has younger self, with 22 points and 6 assists. and Brandon Bass was 1 rebound away from a double-double. Quentin Richardson did very little in this game, scoring 2 points, and having 3 rebounds.
GAME 6
The Hawks were next to play against the Jazz, and it was not a pretty game. A 38-12 first quarter basically screwed the Jazz over from the get-go, and they lost 98-82 in a game where they were just outmatched.
Joe Johnson had 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Josh Smith produced with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals and as well as blocks, showing why he is a defensive monster. Marvin Williams also had a great game, with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Zaza Pachulia did not do much in this game, and it just showed that the Hawks need a lot more depth at the 5.
Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap both contributed with double-doubles for the Jazz, and Stephen Jackson had 15 points and 4 steals to boot, but to win a basketball game, you usually need more than a few people working, and tonight nothing was clicking.
GOOD NEWS
While only being able to play very limited minutes, George Hill came back ready to play for the Jazz today, Zabian Dowdell has been an impressive emergency point guard.
OTHER NEWS
Sherron Collins was sent to the D-League, but the debate on whether to waive him at the end of the year, earlier than that, or to just try and develop him has been occuring, but it is too soon to tell.
GAME 7
The Jazz are 3-3 and they went up against the Bobcats, if there was ever a game they should win, it was this one. Stephen Jackson showed the Bobcats his true skill in this game, and did not disappear in the face of his old team.
Jackson had 28 points and filled the stat sheet, Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap also filled the stat sheet, and between all three of them, they had a combined 56 points, 19 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks. Deshawn Stevenson for the umpteenth time, had a horrible game, getting only 1 point and 1 steal out of 0-4
Tyrus Thomas contributed with 20 points for the Bobcats out of
7-11 shooting, and Gerald Henderson added another 17 points. Boris Diaw also added 10 points and 3 blocks. Dominic Mcguire only took 2 shots this game, and made only one of them, and was just unproductive this whole game.
GAME 8
The Jazz played the other Big Three, with Anthony, Stoudamire, and Billups. they did manage to pull off the W with a third quarter surge leading to a 108-104 victory. Stephen Jackson had a quiet game, but in his absence, a player had the chance to shine.
Paul Millsap had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Danilo Gallinari also had an impressive game, with 7-8 shooting and 15 points. Deshawn Stevenson, yes, DESHAWN STEVENSON, had a good game with 13 points with 3-5 attempts. Jared Dudley, usually consistent for the Jazz, only took 1 shot attempt, and missed. He had 6 rebounds but just did not show up for the game.
Carmelo Anthony dominated this game, with 21 points and a
mind-boggling 17 rebounds, it's a surprise how the Jazz won. Chauncey Billups added another 23 points, and Andy Rautins had 12 points of 4-5 shots, 3-4 being taken from 3 point range. Roger Mason did not contribute at all in his 20 minutes of game-time, having no shot attempts, and his statsheet only had 1 rebound on it, that was it.
FUNNY NOTE
I was annihilating the Bobcats by 20, and Deshawn was actually being productive, and a glitch then occurred, and a tip in was said to be out of bounds, and then the ball disappeared .-. You could see the shadow but the ball was invisible, half-time didn't help fix the problem, and neither did time-outs or fouls, worrying it might mess up the mode, I just quit the game and just simmed all of Week 2 -____-'
Before I update Week 3, I have a question, I don't want to add pictures or anything, but is that a guideline for a Dynasty Topic? Asking since I always feel horrible adding such massive posts to the Association topic if I could do a dynasty topic ._.
