Yah the passing is awful. Even with sliders. On both ends. Can't even get a pass on a fastbreak some times.
The best was when I have JSmoove in the paint,a wide open JJ Redick up top,I hold up and press A and he passes it to a covered Jeff Green back towards half court.

Doesn't every game bring its frustrations? I've gotten used to the turnover rate, i've never had less TOs than the comp. And definitely icon passing is the way to go b/c sometimes your guy will try to throw it from one 3pt corner to the other even though you meant the guy standing right next to you. Default settings are quite easy, customize them yourself if need be.

Even the icon passing can be a little erratic at times. The bounce pass will be RIGHT THERE, but the player I'm controlling will attempt some stupid chest pass instead, which invariably gets picked off.

Not being able to choose what type of pass you want to throw like you could in CH2K8 forces you to be REALLY careful about your angles.

Passing is fine...i have absolutely no problem with it in any shape or form.

It is just funny how arrogant some gamers naturally are. The user fails to be successful and he blames the game and say it is flawed. We have been playing basketball video games for years, being led to believe throwing stupid passes is fine. Now we get a game in which we have to think first, and the game is flawed.

OP, you just admitted that you got the game recently. Practice, it will come with time. Why is there something wrong with the game because you haven't mastered it within 2 weeks?

I've had problems with directional passing, too. That is why I learned how to use icon passing. I've had that problem with just about every game when playing with the press or broadcast camera. I believe it may have something to do with the slight angle of the court and the game making you compensate for it. Maybe their should be an option for screen relative passing similar to the option for right stick shooting. They could also have an icon under the player you are pointing towards, similar to the one used when playcalling. It would have to be an option, though.

No, not recently, more like 2 1/2 months ago. I have no problem with being beat and no problem with games being challenging. What I do have a problem with is basic functions of the game not operating the way they're designed to. It makes no sense at all for passing in a hockey game to be more accurate than passing in a basketball game. Passing in basketball is about the most basic thing in all of sports and it shouldn't be the most challenging part of the game. In a basketball game I would expect that defense would be the most challenging aspect of the game but yet I lead the league in defense in my association.

It is just funny how some posters are so arrogant that they can assume everyone having trouble with any aspect of a game is just inexperienced and not very good. I came here asking for advice, not to be told I'm an arrogant, unskilled gamer. It's ridiculous that mods allow posters to talk to other posters like this but yet if we wanna have a civil debate about two games of the same sport too f'n' bad.

All I can say is get better at passing and stop knocking the game. It is user error. People had the same tune when they first got the game then they understood how to slow the game down and make SMART passes.

We have provided help and videos and you still blame the game. There is no hope for you then.
