and as someone else suggested, if you're starting an association you might as well wait one more week for the buyout guys to join teams

next year they need to do a much better job getting all the guys that are on an NBA roster at least IN THE GAME. I started an Association a few weeks after the game came out, and i was going to try and do the deals that just went down on my Association but i couldn't because Mosgov and Landry Fields WEREN'T EVEN IN THE GAME! And Fields was a 2nd round pick who was starting all year. Yet Patrick Ewing Jr was on the Knicks roster but no Fields and no Mosgov.

So now i had to start a new Association which is annoying. They need to make sure they have the guys on NBA rosters at least in the game, whether it be on the rosters they should be on or at least on one of the D-League rosters or as a Free Agent so you can still find a way to put them on the correct team.

By including players in the game before they actually sign, it becomes a licensing issue. That's why players such as Fields and Mosgov weren't included in the game when it shipped: they hadn't sign yet when the initial rosters were set. A player has to be signed or at least appear in an actual NBA game for them to be included as part of 2K's agreement with the NBAPA license.
