I don't enjoy this game as much as Nba Live 95 simply because I was in school then & could strap in & play for hours! Iol! I try to squeeze in a half hr a night during the week & hit it hard in weekends.

Seriously, this game is the best bball game I've played.

I know what you mean. I haven't even started an Association yet b/c I don't feel I've had enough time with the game yet. I try and get in a game a day, but it doesn't always work out like that. Sometimes I'll get 2-3 and there are days I won't play a game due to other gaming or outside commitments/work.

NBA Live 95 was very addicting back in the day. I played that game for a good 2-3 years straight. NHL 94 and Madden 95 were the two other games I couldn't get enough of during the Genesis years. Like you said, it was a lot easier to game as much as you wanted when you were younger.

Yep, and Ken Griffey baseball.....i don't really mind playing at the moment b/c i'm more of an in season gamer. I try not to burn out on it before the season starts so i can always get back into it.

First off i read that tips thread and ehh had some pointers for the post so props for that.

as for some gameplay impression.....Shawn T. Kemp is a monster now that i can actually pull off some quick athletic moves with him, and its damn near a guarantee he finishes with a dunk at the rim. It was awesome to watch the CPU adjust and send immediate double teams after Kemp was posterizing his man left and right.

Also, i've noticed he just hauls on the break like he's a 3. I've had breaks and not realized he was running on the wing with my PG until i passed it. I haven't seen that with any other bigs yet. Awesome stuff. I want to restart my Nets franchise now to get Kemp, impossible as it may be.

Re: Official NBA 2K11 Impressions Thread (360, PS3)

I actually got this game as a gift from my girlfriend last thrusday.

Well what I can say is that she did not waste a dime of her money because I will probaly play every possible chance I can get.

This game is fantasic minus the association and it flaws and the fast-break, fresh out of the box.

When I first played of course I played the opening game that comes up on the load up screen and I was shocked. Of course I defeated the Lakers and dominated with the GOAT Micheal Jordan. I did not have much feel for the controls at first. But one thing I noticed whice shooting over Byron Scott a few times was the contested jumper adjustment that Jordan made. I noticed he jumped higher than normal, and I was amazed by that. After I won that game, I unlocked those all red 21's and saw that were 40 shoes to unlock and I was even more impressed.

I practice up on the iso-motion in the freestyle with Jordan a few times and eventually got a feel a lil bit. Once I did that I looked through a couple a settings and options with the controller settings and I found that there was a jumpshot marker. Thank God 2k added this, because I wouldn't know what I would do without it.

I decided to play my first game with Lakers vs. the Heat on All-Star sim settings. As I jumped in and played I noticed that this game was noting like 2k10 in any aspect of gameplay. Although I threw many tunovers, one thing I was exicted about was the relaistic field-goal percentage. I was shocked at halftime the score was like 43-40 in favor of the Heat. Then once the 3rd quarter was over if was klike 72-69 Heat still over. As the 4th quarter approaced and I played I noticed Lebron started going iso just like he does in real life when he played for the Cavs. Well I couldn't do anything to stop him so they pretty much ran us out of the building while Kobe struggled. I thought I would be able to pull of some fantasic stuff wiith Kobe but it appeared as though noting was possible and Heat blew me out 114-89.

Although I am much better on All-Star/ sim this game is one of the best I have ever played to this date. Great job 2k.
