Pro-Hop still busted. Needs to be fixed.

Now I know some of you don't really use the Pro-Hop move and prefer spinning under the hole but I'm a Pro-Hop user. I hate how they changed it up this year and I don't see too many people talking about it. I understand that they tried to make it to where they stop the spin cheesers but it's not fair for the rest of us Pro-Hop users. I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not I'ma charge somebody or travel. Now I have to walk to the basket in order to do a hop. Why make it to where you can adjust the Y button to do spin moves when they automatically do spin moves? That doesn't make sense. Does any other Pro-Hop user have any concerns about this?

Pro hop was abused frequently last year. You coul do it anywhere and anytime, on anybody. Now you have to be careful

Pro-Hop was rarely used. I seen people abusing the spin move but I rarely saw people hopping to the basket on a drive. And how can you abuse a Pro-Hop? I see the back step is still fine and people don't abuse that.

You complaining that you're scared of getting called for travels or charging just lets everyone know how you play and is why I'm glad they don't just let people hop around the court randomly.

Re: Pro-Hop still busted. Needs to be fixed.

Ok before people start talking about me complaing and me talking about my skills let me explain before ya'll start making this another unamed forum:

The way I play is very similar to the real deal. I don't go "hopping" all over the court. If I'm driving and I see people coming at me I do a pro-hop. Its a move where you can hop to the basket and land on 2 feet and perform your lay-up. It's sometimes used to fake a person gaurding the basket to make it look like you are laying it up. Now I only use this sparringly or occasionally depending on the defense. Like you are supposed to do. Sort of like how LeBron did in the last play against the Bulls. What he did was a pro-hop. Now in 2K10 even when you let go of the turbo he still do a spin move and is called a charge or travel. I'm not scared of it. It's a move that is in the game but doesn't perform like it. Sort of like how everybody was complaining about glitches pre-patch. You got to complain how there was no defense. Were you scare because people were blowing past you? No.

This is my glitch. This is for all the people that use the Pro-Hop move. I'm using the pro-hop and it's just spinning to the basket and forces a travel or charge. If I wanted to travel or charge I'd just jump up or bowl through somebody. Why do I have to walk or not use the turbo in order to do it? That's not being cheap. Are you being cheap for using the shotstic instead of the X button? No. So there's nothing wrong with pro-hop becuase it's not a cheap move.

I like the pro-hop move too, but see nothing wrong with it. What I see being described here is one of two things.

#1 User error. The instant you take your finger off of turbo you're able to do a pro-hop. I've never had once had an issue with this using default controls

#2 If you're trying to do it online you may be experiencing a rare glitch. It sounds like your controls may be getting changed to Alternate A. Alternate A replaces the prohop/stepback with a spin move.

You know what, I thought that too but it's different than it was on 2K9. On 2K9 you can release the trigger and press Y and he does the pro-hop. But on 2K10 you have to wait like 2 secs until you can press it. But if he's still in the turbo drive (even when you take your finger off the trigger) he still does a spin move.

Respecting your skills and how you play, I totally disagree with you man. I don't feel it's busted at all and it forces you to use when the opportunity presents itself. You have to set it up. I have only failed in situation where the defender was there. I have NO problem with that. Setup your defender and do it when help could stop you.

You are wrong about the cheesing it. It WAS there last year and people did in fact abuse it. I'm glad they fixed.

It's tough. I MAY be a little too tough for some people. But it's certainly not busted man. I have to disagree with you on this. We can agree to disagree. No harm no foul.

But there isn't really a set up to do a pro-hop. It's a simple step: when you see the lane open, you drive and hop. It's simple. There's no need to set up the defender cuz the defender is already set.

Now I'm not seeing how this was a cheese move. Spinning I understand. Using power players all the time, yes. But running and hopping? You know it's getting to a point where people are calling cheese for every reason for getting scored on. "Oh all he did was pump faked. He cheesed". "All he did was do dribble moves. He was abusing the dribble moves and cheesed". C'mon people not everything is cheese. This is a simple drive and hop. Sort of like how people go for a dunk but change it up to lay it up so it doesn't get blocked. Not cheese. But in 2K10 is is changed and I think they changed it so that people can't constantly spin all the time. Which I'm not mad at but put it where it counts IN THE SPIN MOVE.
