"ATTENTION", HOF WITH "NO" SLIDER CHANGES IS PERFECT, TRY IT

There are a lot of people in the impressions threads talking about playing on different sliders, if yall have not tried the game on HOF then you are missing out. On HOF there is no need for any changes, shooting wise, tendancy wise, or defense wise the shooting percentages between me and the CPU seem to be perfect right now, and I Repeat, DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING, LEAVE EVERYTHING AT 50 on Hall Of Fame and see how good the game is. To the slider guys, I have came up with this logic, on HOF the defense is pesky enough for it to be hard for the user to score, and they defend very well with no changes, so that is 1 problem out the way. As I have tested, the CPU plays the most to their tendancies on HOF, it has never been like this in a 2k game, I actually see more forced passes to the paint on All Star than HOF, and if you test it you will see the same thing. If you are not good at the game and cant compete on HOF, I suggest you use HOF and just use the sliders to make it easier for you, the CPU plays the best on HOF.

I agree with you that it plays better on HOF than All Star or Superstar, I am saying this pre patch as I have a ps3 and don't have the update. I've notice though, that the drive and kick game is much better on HOF and the Defensive ai is much smarter for both teams.

Very interesting. Wish I could test, but I'm on PS3. I would love to get a sim experience, minus having to tweak sliders... I admit, it seems far fetched, but I'm optimistic.

Yes, this is true, and not many people even knew this at first, before the patch, the game played better on HOF, and the CPU attempted less forced passes on HOF than even on PRO, this is a major 1st for the 2k series, people are missing out on the HOF realism cause they are scared of the auto comebacks, dont be worried peoples, on HOF the CPU beats you with playing good basketball FINALLY.

Here's a question: how does HOF play with custom sliders? Better than HOF with no slider changes? I guess it's worth a try when I get home. I'm using Dev's v4 sliders.

Just tried HOF. It's ok, but it just seems like a bunch of CPU cheating. I can't hit wide open shots, my stars can't do much, but they seem to be doing things at will.

I think Superstar with Pared's sliders work great post-patch.

I was previously playing on superstar with shooting sliders lowered a lot, since putting on HOF I had to raise them closer to default levels because the defense is a lot better on both ends. For people complaining about cpu cheating, I don't understand, they play better defense and wont allow easy buckets. I can still score with lower shot percent sliders but you have to take good shots. I was amazed also how the cpu didn't cheat as much as it does on lower levels (lead passing) and they don't seem brainless. Drive and kick game is better and interrior defense is better. Of course I still cant wait for the patch (PS3) because HOF doesn't address everything "perfectly" pre patch but makes it it much more playable than any other level.
