NBA 2K>anyone used a randomly generated draft class?

are they the same as they used to be, or has 2k made some improvements to the randomly generated classes? i know created classes will be the way to go, but im just not sure there will be enough "quality" created classes out there.

all I use is 2K generated classes. They are pretty good, and will be better once the patch comes and you can no longer see the player overalls. There are some diamonds in the rough at times. The 2k classes are very random, Ive seen classes with 5 players rated 78 or better and Ive seen classses where the highest rated player is a 72. Guards and swingmen always seem to be rated better then Power Forwards and Centers(highest rated center Ive seen was a 76 once). I like it I just wish they would put tattoos and accesseries on generated players.

bump... hoping for some more opinions
in years past the 2k generated classes have been pretty terrible. the players looked really bad, the names were pretty dumb, and all the players played basically the same (no unique playing styles). but after downloading a custom draft class, im starting to worry that a lot of these guys' names are not going to be in the database, which will also be bad (dont want a bunch of guys running around being referred to as thier jersey number by the announcers).
any more thoughts on the 2k generated classes?

I used a generated class once. Nothing changes a franchise quicker than holding the #3 and #5 picks and getting 2 82 overalls out of it.
I thought that was kind of nuts, so I went back to user created.

do a lot of the guys in user created classes have names that are in the database?

Concerning CPU generated drafts, IMO the ratings are still a bit too high overall. Even in a weak class, there will be many players who are still rated higher than established NBA players.
I've also had to edit the players looks themselves. You'll get a lot of skinny players, especially at C, who have high weights. Players also don't look that great, but the improved editing options allows you to fix that within a couple hours.

can you edit a class (player names and appearances only) without actually seeing any of thier ratings?
