Speed During Fast Breaks

Why is it that most players slow down very considerably when they have the ball on a fast break? It annoys me when I'm trying to run with the likes of J.R. Smith, and once he touches the ball he slows down to a jog

Check your ball handling slider...it may be too low. Also people do run faster without the ball then with it.

2k has spasmadoic running system. It is bad. Maybe the worst aspect of the game.

Re: Speed During Fast Breaks

I don't think this corrected by Ball Handling, it is coded into the game for the user controler. The cpu doesn't seem to have a problem with this slow down.

Speeds change considerably if you play on different difficulties. I play on Pro to combat the transistion CPU/USER speed.

Re: Speed During Fast Breaks

Raise ur ballhandling. My PF on a fast break use to run digustingly slow(with the ball) until I upped his handle.

Wow....you know what the problem is. Some people don't wait for their players to square up the follow before pressing speed... That will solve all your problems.

If I do that then I see Yao Ming do cross overs and alot of other And 1 nonsense. I am aware that you run faster w/o the ball, but on a fast break JR Smith should not be caught from behind before he reaches the FT line.

Explain the situation better. Who caught him from behind? I need more info. Like I told my league buddy show me some video. And I will shut up.
