There are probably already threads on this, but how do you pull off some of the signature moves in the game?

For example, Kobe's hanging jump shot from the highlights thread. How do you do those? I have also have trouble with the ball handling moves, I have gone through the tutorial, but I don't feel like it showed me everything...are there any tips for advanced moves? I see people doing behind the back moves and ankle breakers, but I can never pull it off.

I really enjoy this game, I think knowing this stuff will help me enjoy it more. [Reply]

I know someone will give you a more detailed anwer but I've been learning just by playing around with L2 and the right stick. For floaters and all that you have to hold R2, the left stick and L2. It's kinda of annoying to me. Maybe I'm pushing to many buttons to pull this stuff off but so far it's the only thing that's working. [Reply]

Most of the ones I have figured out are written in the manual. Floaters, runners and such. One thing I cannot find in any forum, or in the book is the iso triple threat move the cpu does all the time.

It's pretty basic in that you get the ball, having not used a dribble, and in an almost sweeping fashion (very typical of about 80% of NBA players) they bring the ball over their head, then down low to complete and almost circle, right in front of their defender. It would allow for amazing off-the-bounce explosions. It's such a simple thing, and I see it in every NBA game, and also every 2K game I play.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me (us) know. [Reply]

i think you hold LT and flick the left stick in the direction you want to do a jab step or sizeup move or whatever. i think thats what you were asking about... [Reply]
