Can someone explain WHY the PS3 doesnt have custom soundtracks?

Because I really don't understand it. It's just as easy, if not more, for the user because you can transfer mp3 to the PS3 hardrive. Whereas when I had a 360, you couldnt copy MP3's to the 360 hard drive(unless that's changed now)

But anyway, it was on the initial patch list, but apparently didnt make the final cut. I think thats a terrible thing to do to PS3 owners because to me, custom sounds adds a whole new dimension to the game.

I'm glad you posted this because I was unaware that it didn't make the final cut. I was sure this was going to be a shoe-in. This is really disappointing.....

i wish i knew.
ps3 gets patches later too.

i know they port a lot of games over to ps3 from 360 even tho the blu ray tech allows for more data and thus a bigger better game.
but they cant work on 3 diff versions of a game [wii incl.].
ah well.
lets hope it IS in the patch

That's the main reason I didn't get it on ps3. I still have yet to set up my custom sounds on xbox though.

2k ronnie first explanation was it couldn't be done and then it was sighted the show has it, then well its 1st party and then when it was shown that many other 3rd parties have put custom sound tracks in and that's where the communications end, he goes silent at that point.

Yea Ronnie is known for doing that. But this year is the first year 2k intergated so well with the PS3. I mean they were so many things they were missing. Things as simple as "Players Met". I mean getting invited to custom game was impossible. They have made a lot of strides. But are still missing tiny things like custom music.

yeah you dont have to look too far to find them. NCAA has them
