Back down button back? Any chance?

Please? It's just so ridiculous (in my opinion) that we don't have this level of control. NBA Live 10 put it back in, can 2K please put it back in? Or at least give us a control scheme option?

EA is soft IMO. you had a idea and wanted to innovate your product but back down because your fans didnt like it. i hope 2k dont put post button back

Well my reasoning for wanting a back-down button is simply control. Why would you take this control out of the users' hands? It's a sim game, touted as a game with a great deal of realism and controls to match. Why take away manual backing down when it's been there up until now?

How does it innovate when you take away control?

because its not needed in todays style of nba. thats why BOTH companies got rid of it. in 2k8 and 2k9 i rarely use the post up button to post up, i use to protect the ball on the three point line but thats it. u run plays, the A.I. run plays where u are in a perfect postition to post up

In 2k10, I have no issue creating a back-down when I want to. In Live it was like pulling teeth.

No reason for a button when it automatically does it.

because this innovation allows you to control the long up&under move instead of having a canned animation as in the previous 2ks

The problem is some players don't go into the back down animation; the dribbler does two and three crossovers or unnecessary dribbles before the back down animation starts.
I used the back down button a lot in previous NBA 2K's.

Maybe take out the extra dribbles in the paint.

I don't understand the reasoning behind NOT wanting a button for back down...it's irritating when you want to back down buy your player won't initiate the back down animation.
