the diffrences between xbox360 and pc version find out here

hello everyone i just thought i would give my impressions from a long time game who has been playing sports games and games in general for over 20 years.

i recently purchased nba2k10 for the xbox 360 and like everyone else i have been disgusted at many things. i thought to myself the framerate issues were killing my eyes and then i thought maybe the xbox just isnt powerfull enough to run the game proper.

so i decided to take another chance and purchase this game for my pc since it is pretty high end and i built myslef i have xp professional service pack 3 installed with a gt9800 video card with one gig of ram and Q-67OO Quadcore 2.66 ghz cpu, XFX 680I sl lt motherboard and 4 gigs of ddr2 ram installed. so i should run this game pretty easy like last years game it ran good for my pc but i hated steam because of there updaters or what not sometimes the game did not want to start with out doing minor tweaks.

ok so i put the game in my cd drive it installed i go into the game and everything is the same i set my resolution to my monitor everything is on high. it even has a bench mark tool to make sure the game will run right how sweet it is.

the only thing i did not see that last years game had was ultra settings maybe that is a option if you are running vista or direct x 10 not sure but let me talk about the diffrences between xbox 360 and the pc version.

first off i uses the same settings that i used on xbox 360
and i play on allstar level
amazing is the best word i can use the pc version is 10 times better than x-box 360 you can tell they spent alot of time on this version it must be because of the new agreement to make this game for the chinese. knowing they could sell millions.

anyways one thing on the xbox 360 is after you make a basket your player would gingerly walk backwards then at some point he would turn around and jog i found that whole animation clunky and slow to the point all would always switch off the guy who just made the basket because it was to slow. well on the pc version that transistion is smooth and fast no need to switch wich to me is a major plus.

second when playing the cpu they would always drive in and kick it out and make three after three and you would be there just watching at it's mercy well that part is still in the pc version but your fellow team mates actually get out there to contest them i almost fell from my chair at how my teamates would follow there guys sure they make a few but when i compaired the stats 46 percent on xbox 360 to 27 percent on pc version and they were forced to make more inside shots i was excited.

next i hated playing the xbox 360 version because it seemed i had way to many points in the paint and alot of that had to do with the fact that no matter how good i passed it they would always be on the new ball carrier well that is not the case in the pc version if your patient you see wide open players and the animation of catch and shoot is perfect were on xbox 360 there is just a bit of a delay so you can penetrate and dish to elbow shooters as well as wingman wide open it makes playing team ofence so much more fun.

i only saw 1 alley oop until the fourth qtr when i had my scrubs in
but 4 for the whole game. and you know that play were they do the give and go and drive to the basket and you got nothing you can do to stop it because the ai doesnt respond fast enough well that is not the case in pc version i found myself trailing players from behind and i actually blocked them and drawed fouls making them go to the line wow that was alot of fun to see.

the post up moves are better animated as well as defence coverage on the ball carrier the sounds are all there but the shot block is not but i am sure that will be patched.

the graphics are the same i think even better on pc no framerate issues what so ever that was a blessing.
this game is a must buy if you have a good pc i am now going to sell my xbox-360 version and stick with this if you have any questions feel free to ask.

How do you save draft classes in association mode?

I have a geforce 8500. Will i see noticable improvement if i upgrade to a 9800?

Also i pci express do i need pci express 2.0 to run the 9800 one?

I also have 3 gigs of ddr2 ram is that enough?

I plan on getting the 9800 soon i just dont know if i can support it. I have a phenom processor i got a year or two ago.

hi yes you see noticable difference the game runs on shader model 3 but it will run on 2 there is also a way to get utltra settings like nba2k9 if you go in the config file and make some changes to even get better graphics but as it sits the game is sweet looking on my 9800. as for your ram all operating systems that are 32 bit will only reconize about 2.6 gigs of ram so if you put 4 or 8 or 3 it reads about 2.6 so you are fine for the ram part but upgrade the card even though mine is express 2.0 it works on regular motherboards you should be good to go the processor is it not dual core ? because the game suports both dual and quad more than single core processors.

ill put up some video's on youtube bye monday night to show some of the differences.

i forgot to mention when you are playing half court defence you know how you slide your player left to right to keep in front of the ball handler and alot of the times the momentum keeps you going and you find yourself getting burned because it is slugish that does not happen on pc version the shift of your body is cat quick

as well as when they drive to the lane your team mates respond you can get blocks comit fouls you name it i do not know why so many say they have pc bugs but this game does not suffer what the xbox 360 version does.

i have played 2 games so far both teams went to free throw line alot i just beat the pacers 108 to 103 i was up by 20 going into the fourth but they had a nice run on me the great thing about it is i use the heat and i swung out to cover granger as he was coming off a pick at the three point line beasley blocked his junk but i got called for the foul lol. but you can never get out and cover swing man on xbox 360 version the spacing and the way your pc teamates cover is great. gameplay in the paint is so much more fun i was blocking shots left and right.

one more note multple times while playing defence the crowd chants 5-4-3-2-1 i caused 2 shot clock violations in the first period alone that suff does not happen on xbox 360

I was wondering how many frames per second you were getting? Whats the difference between the geforce 9600 1 gig and 500 gig? Besides the obvious memory size difference. Like will i notice a difference? if so would it be graphically or frames per second wise?

Also is there a huge difference between the geforce 9 series and gts and gtx?

Re: the diffrences between xbox360 and pc version find out here

4890 1GB
AMD 720 x3 2.8ghz with 4 cores enabled
4gig 1600mhz ram
Windows 7

Everything turned up for me benchmarks at 87fps. For some reason after I had some downloading issues with the game, I finally got a good download and installed it, but I was only getting 50 fps (yeah, only, go cry, I know) which was causing a little of that PC stuttering that I can notice. Defragmented my hard drive and now it's back to 87.

I don't know about the console versions, but I haven't seen the points in the paint issue at all. Lots of midrange and 3pt shots being taken.

The 360 controller has the issue like last year where it won't recognize when both analog triggers are being pressed at the same time, so they are switched just like 2K9 was which isn't bad, but if you're used to the 360 version, you'll need to get used to the switch.

Anyway, just thought I'd give my 2 cents.

Actually, there is a program I used called XBCD that allows you to use the triggers together without problems. It is a program that see the triggers as regular buttons so you can use them together. There is also a mod I found that map the icons just like in the 360.

My only problem now is that I can't map the replay to the RT trigger (like the 360). I can't even find where the save folder of the game is to play with the config file. I am not using the steam version of the game.
