I played the demo and liked it. There wasn't as much herky jerky movement and sliding.

My question is the demo and retail version identical in terms of the sliding and herky jerk movements. If it is then I am buying this for sure. 2K9 was horrible because I felt my players were sliding on ice and seems to lose control too many times.

No, the demo plays A LOT smoother than the actual game. Very disappointing...........

From the moment you press the button on your controller there is a slight delay, add that to the slight online lag & you have serious problems.

This is my last Basketball game I will probably ever even worry about playing as they just can never get it right......

I dunno what this guy is smoking but it's the opposite. The real game is actually a lot smoother than the demo. The retail version is amazing IMO

hear we GO, this guy is talking about playing ONLINE...the poster is asking DOES the retail game play smooth like the DEMO, and the answer is "YES"....the game plays just as smooth as the demo. Of course when you go online your gonna get LAG.

The demo has no framerate issues, so I can see what he is saying to an extent.

If you install the game to your HD and tweak a few camera settings, such as key zoom off, you should have a pretty smooth gameplay experience in most arenas.

The demo is really just a tease for the full game. If you enjoyed it don't hesitate to pick up the full game.

Yeah I don't have a clue what that guy was talkin about. This game is the best 2k game released. I was basically in your situation going between getting 2k or Live. Friday, I decided on 2k and I couldn't have made a better choice.

I put the game in, and this game runs very smoothly. The only bad part is the framerate issue, except I seemed to have fixed it for me by just switching the Key Zoom in the Camera Angle to OFF.

The game is much better than the demo, but some people are experiencing lag issues.

Well, there still is a lot of sliding and jerky movement in the retail version..If you felt that 2K9 was bad then this game will annoy you at times, especially on defense

Re: Is the demo way almost exactly the same as the retail version?

Let me clear this up for BLIND 2k fans. I have owned every single Football game + Basketball game from 2K since the Dreamcast.

Nba2k6 for the Xbox was/is the probably the smoothest & best playing 2K game ever.

The demo does not have frame rate issues the full version does. So you couple that with online lag & there is double problem, reading comprehension is something they used to teach in school....

So sad I can see by these peoples post they no longer do. I should not have to tweak camera angles & install games so it can run fine, keep letting 2k rob you if you want too.
