question about cross over dribbles?

everytime i hold RT and LT and does a cross over it sends me in a little loop circle with no cross over. is anyone else having the same issue. is it a glitch ?? or is it just me. if anyone know how to remedy this pls help me. thank you.

i've been playing 2k baskeball since the dreamcast and i've always done the cross over just fine.

Re: question about cross over dribbles?

You dont hold both triggers to do a crossover. You hold both when you want to do a behind the back dribble move.

Re: question about cross over dribbles?

Players like LeBron have a ridiculous crossover if you hold both triggers. But in my experience, most ISO doesn't have much of an effect on getting open space since defenders are mostly glued to your player like usual. Either that or I'm terrible at ISO.

You just terrible at ISO......LOL. ISO takes a while to learn to do it on command, no lie.

You need to factor in what way you are moving. You can't do a big crossover at a standstill, which makes sense.

LT+RT will do the big crossover animation if the player has it. If I want to cross left I'll generally be pushing the RS forward and to the right a little and then hit the crossover.

Re: question about cross over dribbles?

ISO is weird. I actually sent Nash flying in the other direction one time, and I had no idea what I did. Some nasty move I guess. It seems like there are less moves this year. I can do the step back easy no problem, right to left and vice versa, behind the back, spin. Anything else is tough, but I don't think there is much more than the ones I posted.

Re: question about cross over dribbles?

drl, the problem is that the game is sending you in the direction your stick is pointed in instead of keeping you facing the basket. So if you jack the stick from left to right, you'll get the crossover but since your stick's ending position is most likely to the left/right that's the direction your player will be moving/turning in.

Re: question about cross over dribbles?

Some players got some real nasty ones, but I think the player has to have high ball handling rating to puil it off though. Because last nigth CP3 broke me off so bad I literally had to pause the game and sit there for a few minutes thinking what the heck just happened ???? Oh no he didnt do that to me LOL.

Enlightenment acheived! There have been a few times where I go to pull off a simple right to left and Jameer will move in a awkward position. Makes sense.

Re: question about cross over dribbles?

I have the same problem. My isomotion skills are always rusty when the new 2K comes out, so I go into practice mode and bring up the isomotion controls and try them out with a good ball handler. I found that after some practice I can do what I want most of the time, but sometimes I will make the same looping animation you are talking about. Try just starting off with the LT only crossover moves and that may help some and keep practicing because it will eventually become second nature again.
