The PA announcer did it last year so I see no reason why he shouldn't this year. Hopefully they didn't take it out.

Booing is there but I think he meant the booing of a specific player at a specific arena is absent (ie Vince Carter in Toronto). If I remember correctly I thought the explaination given by 2K was indeed that the NBA did not feel it was the level of sportsmanship they wanted replicated on an NBA branded video game. With that said, it's a questionable explaination because I have heard that NBA Live DOES have player specific booing.
And to the fellow with the question on Chris Paul's signature sound: I'm not sure if you know, but that Ric Flair "Wooooooooo!" was on NBA2K9 so I would presume it'd make the cut this year as well but that is not with certainty.

Not to get off track, but last year, the arena announcer did one "Whoooo!" for every field goal. In real life, they do one for every point scored.

Wait, do you mean for every point Chris Paul scores or for every point any Hornet scores? That'd be a lot of wooing.

I saw a highlight video and there was a moment where Kobe was shooting a FT and the crowd at the Staples Center was shouting: "MVP, MVP..." (I think).
Don't remember if it was on 2K9, but it was nice (yet annoying, if you know what I mean) to hear.

I did not see players waiting near the scorer's table to enter before a stoppage in play on the videos I've seen. Has this been removed or is it still in there?
