I think I'm gonna do something different this year. I'll still use the Celtics, but for the first time I think I'm gonna control 2 teams in my association. Instead of doing 58-game seasons with Boston, I'll do 29-game seasons with two teams (which of course is the same amount of games).
I figure this will allow me to get a better Association experience because I'll have my contending/playoff team and my project team at all times. I can focus on winning games with one team, while focusing on the GM aspect and future growth with another. I think I can make it sync nicely together, as well. I'll start off trying to win with Boston while taking control of a lottery-level team in the process. As the years progress, I hope to build that lottery team to playoff/contending status, which should happen around the same time I'll need to start rebuilding the Celtics. I get the best of both worlds this way.
As for the second team I'm gonna use, I'm not entirely sure yet. Right now it's probably between Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Sacramento, Memphis and Milwaukee. The Timberwolves would probably be the biggest challenge of that bunch, as their roster is a true mess right now. Milwaukee would be a real challenge, too, but I'm not sure I'll pick two Eastern Conference teams.
I use the Cavaliers in my franchise (I say that because I don't know which game I'll stick with), so I won't change that plan.
I don't like the changes they made in the off-season-- IMO, they need a PF who can make jumpers, rebound and play defense (they lost Joe Smith, kept Varejao and signed Powe). I'll probably try to trade for Haslem or Elton Brand (and maybe try to also get a PG in the deal, maybe Lou)-- probably for Ilgauskas and Gibson, might try to get rid of Powe as well, then the rotation will be (parentheses = that position's backup):
G: Mo Williams (Delonte West/LeBron James/Lou Williams)
G: Anthony Parker (Delonte West)
F: LeBron James (Jamario Moon)
F: Haslem/Brand (Anderson Varejao/Leon Powe/LeBron James)
C: Shaquille O'Neal (Anderson Varejao)
And yes, I'm serious about playing LeBron at the point. No good reason not to as far as I can tell.
That's about it. Oh, and I'd also crack down on LeBron's three-point jackin. He won't be takin 5 a game as long as I'm in charge :-)[Reply]

I used the 76ers last year and ended up playing like 8 82 game seasons. I will probably give the Thunder a look this year. The T-Wolves intrigue me also. I like Kevin and Johnny Flynn out there. They need much more to be anyone in the NBA. I like rebuilding a team more than anything else.
I have some openings in my Fantasy Football league, I have individual def. players, 2 divisions, 16 team max, playoffs week 14,15,16, 6 teams make the playoffs. Division winners get top seeds. Draft is Friday 7:30 pm. Thanks.
I usually try to get the Knicks back on top, but last year it was just a struggle to win a game with them. And now this year, with the whole ratings stretch, I think I'm going to have to find a new team.

My original plan was to try and play wit G.S. this yr, but if Jax gets his trade request, I will probably run with the hometown squad.....Mavs. Im a bonafide Laker fan, but playing with that loaded roster is like creating a team of superstars and cheating

I'm going to play with the Wolves not sure probably just the normal association mode. All the games I can't wait to hear Clark Kellog and Kevin Harlin talk about Johnny Flynn or Big AL. I so excited for this game.

I'm gonna run with the Hawks... Nice, young, athletic, up and coming team with playoff experience, and some of the best uni's in the league. Started doing this in Live 09, and I want to carry it over to Live 10 & NBA 2k10. One game, I'll play with teh Hawks, the other game I'll run with my cavs.

I'll make a Blazer franchise. I will make sure Lamarcus, Oden, Roy go to the All-Star game and I plan to seek out a first round pick steal at the backup PF position. My goal is to not trade anyone until the trade deadline or off-season. I want to develop Bayless in the D-League.
I will play as the 76ers on the East side...Just because I like the jerseys.

I usually want to build up a team but this year I'm going to take a really good team and try to win it all.
29-game season (I like to do multiple seasons and I want to have sweet draft classes)
Here are my top 3 choices:
#1- Magic (Reddick would be cut so fast it would hurt)
#2- Hawks (They are pretty damn good)
#3- Cavaliers (On paper they look soooooo good!)
If I choose a low team....
Indiana Pacers. I'd be on the Hansbrough band-wagon
*I'm not a fan of an NBA team so I have no allegiance, I simply like and don't like players. I hate dook with a passion![Reply]
