NBA 2K10 First Screenshot Released

There really shouldn't be any arguing or back and forth...someone posted before that we should be happy that there is competition between the two developers.
Just provide good spacing on the court and maybe make them a little bit bigger to deal with those spacing issues.
All in all, the screenshot looked fantastic, bring on 2k10....and my collectors edition!

VC, needs to stop being cheap with the way they use Anti-Aliasing in their graphics engine. It's time to enable 4x AA & stop just using the FREE 2x AA these systems offer.

There should be no reason why jaggies are still prevelant in their games

I never said great, I said the game was good. Let's be real neither b-ball game was great last year.

I don't understand how one early screenshot can cause so much fussing, wait for some screens/gameplay vids from the final build.

You have already decided which b-ball game is getting your money this year, so why aren't you checking up on Live instead of coming to the 2kforums to talk about Live?

Both Lives and 2ks screen look great nothing fantastic about them but there early builds. Also with them both showing the LeBron pre-game chalk toss shows that there will be heavy competition.

Let's stop sticking to one game & realize EA & 2k are going to push each other. which in returns equals two great games for B-ball gamers/consumers.

Why can't we all appreciate that?

After all competition brings out the best in people a la Bird/Magic.

I LOVE nba 2k9 and if they just improve the frame rate, polish the graphics, change up the defensive mechanics and add weight in the post NBA 2K10 WILL BE THE BEST BASKETBALL GAME EVERRRR MADDDEEE.

obviously there are way more live fans than 2k fans on this message board. us 2k gamers cant enjoy a screenshot without people bashing the game.

anyways game looks good hopefully they fixed the little things like the auto steal.. i never have a problem with the graphics.

Why does one have to be a Live fan or a 2k fan?

Why can't you guys just enjoy something for what it is? Must you be fans of a brand to also enjoy a small sample of their products?

I really dislike that mentality. It brings down the forums, IMO.

FWIW, I'm positive in what to expect with 2k10, but that picture, if you were to cut out the part of Lebron throwing out chalk, isn't that impressive.

But that's just it. It's a picture. Nothing more, nothing less.

I've only seen a small handful of guys really complain about the way the game looks. Seems to me it's about the way the game plays and I'm sure the developers know that. But again.... it's a picture. I don't see how anyone can come away impressed or dejected about the status of 2k10 and what the final product will be like based on a single screen shot of an unfinished game.

This is one area of video games analysis where I'm happy to be dilettante.

I look at NBA 2k's graphics and I think, "They're great"

I look at NBA Live graphics and I think, "They're great too"

The last time I was disappointed in the graphics of a sports game was Madden 96 for the PS1, and that game got canceled.

Bring on the 6 page blog on gameplay improvements. Yeah, yeah I know, give it a few months

...I want to see the NBA2K vs. NBA Live "battle" screenshot which would feature either Howard dunking on Kobe or vice versa. Those usually trickle out instead of a screenshot of the same player doing the same thing. I think that the competition is becoming fierce and we as the game lovers, consumers, etc. are benefiting...I wish it was like that with football...
