Would switching to LIVE help?

Okay, I spent a day looking at the posts about nba live here, it seems like the bugs from live can be accepted compared to 2k, I read something about how they have inbound glitch, or bodies of players going through players or backboards, the rewind videos ain't working or something, but seems like a majority of them is enjoying the game so much unlike us spending time to fix the game everyday, slider, coach profile, tendencies, I never see these terms about live, so do you think live is the solution since I seriously gave up on 2k, those backdoor passes, lead passes, just come out of no where, I was playing the lakers, the first 4 posessions they just throws it to bynum and 4 dunks right there, no more, i had enough, so i wonder if i shud just go get live this weekend?

There are the same discussions about sliders, tendencies etc. with Live.

You said that your sliders fixed the backdoor and lead passes

Yes, I didn't lie, It did, but after playing 10 games, I find out that the consequences is that the CPU will become so dumb in their offense, they will pass around until the shot clock is close and fire up a shot and I can block the hell out of them everytime because its too predictable, sometimes, I have very good games, sometimes I have horrible games, so I don't know why is like this? I am seriously planning to try live, I wonder if it is as annoying as 2k?

You should certainly try it. People expect way more from 2k than they do from Live imo which is why the majority of threads in 2k are spent on complaining about it's lack of perfection while Live threads are spent on enjoying it for what it is. If people like a game they give a pass on it's flaws while using the the flaws that may exist in another game to condemn it. Everyone here including myself does this to some degree.

I'm just not seeing crazy backdoor passes 24/7 like a lot of people have and I'm using 2k's living rosters and my own set of sliders. I'm seeing a consistent mid range game and PIP's aren't as inflated unless the cpu fast breaks on me.

If a game is causing you that much grief you should definetly try something else.

Re: Would switching to LIVE help?

I play Live on PS3 and 2K9 on PC and think think that that Live less frustrating and more fun to play.

Both games have there flaws, but in my opinion Live has some very good things too, like more open shots and better dribbling controls.

Also the AI in Live cheats less compared to 2k9.

I would suggest that you try Live before you buy it just to make sure that it meets your expectations.

Because it seems Live is allowed to be fun - 2K9 is being held to a different standard imo. I guess when a game has been good for so long as NBA2K has been, it seems easy for some to lose perspective. Either way, you're asking whether it's worth purchasing Live in the 2K9 forum - Brilliant! Seems like it'd make a whole lot more sense if you were checking out the Live forum and seeing no issues, you'd have presented your issues there.

Re: Would switching to LIVE help?

Both are fine, fine games. But completelly different control mechanics and ways of playing.

I just got 2k last night and got hammered on superstar because I was playing it like live. Then I played a game of live and started get hammered because I was playing it like 2k lol.
