Regarding Season & Association Modes

Is there many differences between Season & Association Mode besides the multiple season that can be played in Association?

I am currently playing a 'Season', but am thinking of switching to Association due to the fact, I could most likely play multiple seasons this time around before 2k10 hits.

In Association mode, does your edited rosters/sliders/coach profiles still function? (nogsters rosters is what i am using)

Another thing , I do have editted minutes for my rosters (nogsters rosters), I heard in Association mode, it lets you set 'Starters' '6th Man 'Bench Warmer'. Does this reset the 'minutes' that you have set for all NBA players?

Appreciate if someone can answer these questions for me

Thanks!

in season mode, the player ratings/tendencies dont change throughout the season..they stay as you had them. i prefer season mode as i just want to get in there and play the game, with the right rosters, with the players ratings staying the same unless i edit them myself. im not interested in all the management stuff..also in season mode u can easily keep up to date with nba moves and trades because u can control the roster movements of all teams. [in association u can but u have to resign and sign with the team u want to change then u have to hope the trade gets accepted by the cpu, unless u switch "override trades" on. too much hassle to me] also. in association the cpu teams will sign free agents themselves...in season mode, the cpu teams do nothing unless u do it for them.
note: the cpu will do its own thing with rotations though, and unfortunately u cant change that..

yeah they do, but the player ratings will change as the association progresses.

yes u can set player roles and then u have to keep your players satisfied with playing time that suits their roles..this is a cool feature if u like that sort of thing, and about the minute ressetting, yes they will change, but u can either let the cpu set the rotations for u, or u can set them yourself.

Re: Regarding Season & Association Modes

Thanks for the reply!

Last thing I want is for the ratings/tendencies to be manipulated during a season. Game plays awesome with your rosters. I definitely don't want that manipulated.

I guess I will stick to Season mode!

Well they aren't really manipulated that bad. Some players ratings go down when they feel they don't receive much PT and demand a trade. Some go up when your team is doing well and likes how the minutes were distributed. They also go down when they get injured. Personally, i like association mode better but it's your decision.
