If you swap the trigger and bumper controls so the right trigger is speed boost and left is the post up button, then you won't be able to do any, or many, Iso moves. You can't jab step by holding them down. However, holding Y or B in that situation will let you. It's FUBAR.

I think the controls for this version are horrible, but it destroys the 360 version in graphics. Smoother & sharper, just all around looks better and feels better. I have everything maxed and the AA really shines.

The funny thing about this game is that the physics modeling is handled solely by the CPU. (Which is why the fix works to enable multiple cores. For some reason it isn't factory optimized for multi-core processors.) Instead of being optimized for Nvidia, and using the Geforce 8 and 9 series on-card physX processing to handle the cloth movements, it uses your CPU to process cloth movement on Ultra High settings. I'm slightly pissed about the situation because I had to overclock my CPU to play the game. Not only does this result in me having to overclock before I start the game and then slow back down when I'm done playing, but it will lower the life of my CPU as well. It should be understood that not even most OEM manufacturers are putting quad-core processors in their machines, so why would the vast majority of consumers have a quad core processor capable of running this physics modeling on it? It was a dumb move on 2K's part and I doubt it will be fixed in a patch. Hopefully they'll notice that Nvidia has software and hardware capable of processing cloth physics. I can't really complain much, though, seeing as I torrented my copy from the Chinese the night before it came out. Eat me, Take-Two. Eat me hard.

Ok, first off, tons of people have quadcore machines.

Second of all, overclocking isn't going to make a noticeable change in the life of your CPU if you do it right and within reason.

Third of all, screw YOU for pirating a $20 game.

You have some points about the developement. If 2K Sports is going to support the PC gaming community they need to do it right. However, for $20 I'm not going to complain about the overall package.

2K, don't sweat this guy. You got my money. That's my support to you and my thanks to you for delivering this prize. It's also my way of saying that I hope you give us another version in the future.

Starting to piss me off, I was having an amazing game and just lost it all in the third quarter.

I will say one thing, Microsoft were the only smart ones that allowed you to save games in progress. That's what I loved most about NFL Fever, I could save the game and come back to it any time.
Same here it is getting out of hand.

Anyone else having problems with the main menu screen when selecting teams to play. It lags behind. This only happens on the main screen, and when I go to the controller setup in the game. Other menus work fine.

Yep, it's a known glitch. Others fixed it by unplugging their USB mice and keyboard.

Re: Official NBA 2k9 PC Thread

Most people that are playing the game on PC probably already know this, but I thought I'd post anyway for those who don't. Using Catalyst or nVidia's control panels, you can just force Anisotropic Filtering on to get rid of the blurry courts and players. Usually it's not a big frame rate drop for modern video cards, so it's a good thing to do. The downside is that now you'll see that the center logos are a bit low-res compared to other textures in the game. Hopefully someone will be able to mod that in the future. Anyway, I hope this post helps someone and if someone needs comparison shots, I hope someone else can provide them as I'm too lazy to take some. Once again, thank you 2k for releasing this game on the PC.

Re: Official NBA 2k9 PC Thread

wow what a difference it makes.

Why do I have unplug my keyboard and mouse to get some of the menus to work properly?? 2K needs to patch this asap! I'm not too happy right now.
