You can find these moves in the game manual. The controls are a bit different than the consoles.
It seems that the X button is for shooting only.... I'll try again.

Re: Official NBA 2k9 PC Thread

After trying the default controls with the Saitek and the XBOX 360 controller, I have not been able to do the hopstep... only the spin comes out with Y and it shoots with X....

As they said though, the triggers don't recognize both being pushed at the same time. So remapping the bumpers to that doesn't help. If you check it in the PC controller options in control panel, you see that the triggers are on an axis and both triggers counter each other out as if neither one is pressed.

I don't have that problem. So you can't do a jab step or anything? I can do it fine.

I hope the 2k can add this to the patch. Doesn't seem too hard to do, since it was a 360 port?

Re: Official NBA 2k9 PC Thread

Is anyone else getting crashes back to the desktop without warning? It doesn't freeze, doesn't give me an error, it just kicks me to my desktop in the middle of games sometimes.

Starting to piss me off, I was having an amazing game and just lost it all in the third quarter.

I will say one thing, Microsoft were the only smart ones that allowed you to save games in progress. That's what I loved most about NFL Fever, I could save the game and come back to it any time.

Re: Official NBA 2k9 PC Thread

Ok. Here are my PC specs.

Intel Pentium D 820 overclocked to 3.36ghz
2gb DDR2 overclocked to 800mhz
EVGA 8800GT 512 MB DDR3 factory clocked
ASUS P5N-e SLI MoBo

The funny thing about this game is that the physics modeling is handled solely by the CPU. (Which is why the fix works to enable multiple cores. For some reason it isn't factory optimized for multi-core processors.) Instead of being optimized for Nvidia, and using the Geforce 8 and 9 series on-card physX processing to handle the cloth movements, it uses your CPU to process cloth movement on Ultra High settings. I'm slightly pissed about the situation because I had to overclock my CPU to play the game. Not only does this result in me having to overclock before I start the game and then slow back down when I'm done playing, but it will lower the life of my CPU as well. It should be understood that not even most OEM manufacturers are putting quad-core processors in their machines, so why would the vast majority of consumers have a quad core processor capable of running this physics modeling on it? It was a dumb move on 2K's part and I doubt it will be fixed in a patch. Hopefully they'll notice that Nvidia has software and hardware capable of processing cloth physics. I can't really complain much, though, seeing as I torrented my copy from the Chinese the night before it came out. Eat me, Take-Two. Eat me hard.

You're mad because they coded the game to use the cpu to process the physics rather than the gpu? Maybe that's because it's directly ported from the xbox 360 which has multiple CPU cores...we're lucky there even is a PC version but with people like you stealing the game we may not see it again next year...is it 2K's fault your CPU sux balls?
