Thought of something else to add to my list. Can't believe I didn't think of it.

Presentation. Take what they've done one more step. I love the NBA.com deal thing they have that has some of the latest stories, and stories for each team in the Association. But another thing to add to the presentation, is...
1. Half time show. This is where they should of used Clark, have him in the studio and give you a little run down of the top plays and players of the half. I guess you could do the same for the end of the game as well.
2. MAKE A PUSH FOR TNT NEXT YEAR! If they could get TNT, it'd be INSANE. Can you just imagine Chuck and Kenny with 2k. "He a damn fool for shooting all those 3s tonight"

Another addition to Association. Taking the practices and preperation one step higher. Bring back what NFL 2k5 had. You could have players watch film of the other team, older game film, ect ect. You could pick your each player/positions workouts and everything. Just add depth to the game and a lot more coaching additions. Things like assign a player to defend the other team's star - and their only job is to keep him in check, and it'd show in the game by him really not trying to do much on offense to conserve his energy for defense.

I would like to see an overhauled create-a-team, new commentary (completely re-written and with 100% less Clark Kellogg), and more shoes, hair, accessories, and more for create-a-player.

Create-a-team:
-Upload logo from your harddrive
-Court creator/editor
-Uniform creator/editor

Commentary:
-No specifics here... I guess just start fresh and try for a new dynamic, either with more talking back-and-forth or more refined play-by-play. I'd also like to hear about previous performances. Rapport, though, is important; I recently did a recording off of a script, and the other guy and I feigned better rapport than those professionals. The script is not necessarily the problem.

Create-a-player:
-Ability to choose facial textures (MLB 08, e.g.)
-More hairstyles, as well as more colors for each style (Winning Eleven 7, e.g.)
-Tattoo layering (WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW, e.g.)
-More accessories and shoes, both patterns and colors (NBA Live 2005, e.g.)

Superstar mode = Where you can take your created rookie to the NBA, through his retirement, and hopefully a selection in the Hall Of Fame

Better Off season in Association mode

IN-GAME SAVES (good god just please add this already)

Summer League - A good mode that can be used in the offseason of Association mode

Training Camp Mode - Another mode that could be used in the offseason of Associations mode, add plenty of drills to help you and your players on your team get better, Drills should be split up into Defensive Drills, Shooting Drills, Ball Handling drills, etc. Should also be a sub mode in Practice mode.

I'm sure that I'll add more.

Player personalities affecting ingame celebrations
-The way the players react to fouls can be further expanded upon by incorporating the player personalities (as of right now its only for chemistry and morale). Have celebrations/reactions specific to player personalities (laid back, expressive, unpredictable), call them signature celebration packages if you will. Taking it another step further, have it so different player personality types interact with each other differently. For example laid back player gets an and-1 nods his head, teammate expressive player runs over cheering and gives him a shove. This allows multiple combinations of player celebrations. The current system of celebrations seem really random and some players react out of character.

Alley-oop's passes off the backboard
-Have it so this can only occur if the passer is in front of the dunker, or if you are alone you can lob it to yourself.

Fake inbound passes
-There are a lot of unused buttons when inbounding the ball, shouldn't be too hard to add.

Rolling inbound passes
-Like i said, theres only a few buttons for inbound passes, this adds more options. They do this in real life to save time. Have the inbounder press a button to roll the ball inbounds and an icon will pop up over the ball so whenever the PG feels, he can press the button and pick it up. Imagine 2 players diving for that ball or the defender goes for it but you pick it up first or vice versa. Should probably only enable this during the end of quarter/4th quarter.

Body part options for CAP
-Can anyone say Signature Body Packages? Pick from different body parts to form the create-a-player. Right now, the shoulders and legs bother me. Players like Dwight Howard have huge shoulders (which it seems like everyone in 2k9 has), Yao Ming has big strong legs, TMac has sticks for legs, etc. Add the option to change the length of Player arms and body width (standing reach and wingspan) 2 important traits that can affect the Potential Rating. Imagine how having standing reach, wingspan and revamped Vertical and Awareness Ratings will make the good players/prospects stand out against the others.

Correct the Vertical Jump Rating
-Everyone jumps as high as everyone else when in reality, that isn't the case. Sometimes i think Yao can touch the top of the backboard.

Correct the Awareness Ratings
-On offense, make it so the rating affects the decision making of the player like how they pass out of or respond to a double team.
On defense, make it affect the reaction time of the defender. Lower Rating = slower at jumping at the shooter, slower to respond to crossvers thus getting beat.

uhm from what i understand thats in this years game...

anyway a request...PLEASE PLEASE dont push the crowd detail any further...its going to kill the frame rate as its already starting to kill the frame rate now in certain camera angles....

the detail for 2k8 crowd was perfect..no stutter of any sort..

-In game saves (this helps us sim guys tremendously, not all of us have an hour plus to play through an entire game)

-Hall of Fame inductions/retired jerseys (doesn't have to be a grand ceremony or anything, but since you guys added milestones and such this year, this seems to be the next logical step)

-Deepen the Create-a-player a little bit more. More hair options, more than 3 body types, etc...

-Allow us to have home and away accessory options for ALL options, not just sock color

-An eventual physics system that would replace the canned collisions. "No 2 player interactions would ever be the same"

-If you must continue down the animation route, just continue to add more

-Don't remove the nba.com headlines, just expand on them

-On our player cards, give us career totals for stats like: double-doubles, triple-doubles, 20+ point games, 30+ point games, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, OT points.....playoff highs, playoff games played.... (think how a game like GTA essentially tracks everything you do)
