Don't try and understand it.

What you said is EXACTLY right on the money. People try and make it seem like it is for the greater good instead of the fact they just want to over-analyze, critique and complain and moan to pass the time until release date.

But what you wrote right there?

SPOT. ON.

Now Playing: Uncharted 2, NBA 2k10, FIFA '10, NBA Live '10, Madden NFL '10, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Mirror's Edge, SSF2T:HDR, MLB09: The Show

Yeah, this is getting ridiculous now.

Re: New screens (Gamekult)

The spacing still looks off, the players are too big and the court is too small.

It's interesting how everyone who disagrees with you gets lumped into the same group. I'm learning a lot about you this week.

Let's drop the subject early and get back to talking about the pics.

If you were able to understand my mentality, then my name wouldn't be Behindshadows.

My girl has been with me 6 years and she still confused.

I have friends since 5 grade that still hang with me and they don't understand and we are in our mid-30's.

All they know is I'm the coolest kat on the planet and we all get along.

Back on the subject of this, I just want the Mkt'ing team to get off their *** and help this franchise building some public popularity. We are just a minor edge to their income.

When you are in a state of competition you need to push just as hard to get your product known.

Just because you are the #1 selling basketball on 360 and PS3. Doesn't mean you just start half *** your game marketing and leaving the next season with a poor attempt to shine your next season's game.

Re: New screens (Gamekult)

I don't know if anyone here can answer this but what is the reason why 2K takes so long to release media for this game?

Is it some type of financial issue or is it just a decision that is made to not release a lot of media?

I know it doesn't really matter when they release something because it will have the same effect on people either way but, why wait this long?

I mean you have events like E3 and GC where you can show it off so why don't they? Its not like they don't already have an established fanbase so I'm sure people will be excited to see it in action.

Like at GC 2K could have brought a playable version to the show floor. People will probably check it out and they could potentially gain a buzz that could net them even more recognition with people that don't play bball games.

I'm just rambling now but you guys probably get the point.

I agree, and they shouldn't take their sales for granted or anything, but that's almost a reason to not hype the game so far in advance. The bulk of their sales are going to be people walking through electronics stores, toy stores, shopping malls, etc. who, a month prior, never gave a thought as to whether or not they'd purchase this title.

So I hope that they push their title eventually, but we're the only ones (this segment of the gaming community) who count the days, critique every piece of media, and implore the company to give us more news. Most of their sales are going to be turned still a few weeks from now, and while I feel slighted, I think it's unfair to criticize 2K for their effort while 97% of their sales (or "selling" people to the idea of buying the game) is still in the weeks to come.

In short, I hope they expose this game to a wider audience, but they still have plenty of time and resources to do so.

Funny, as I wasn't even referring to you.

Don't know how you came about that.

That's a question for the higher ups. I'm sure the developers wonder the same thing.

Absolutely. Same thing, every year.

Re: New screens (Gamekult)

One thing that's extremely noticeable is the court spacing.

Also if you look carefully, you'll see for each team players are already going into their exact locations on the floor based on the pre-determined teams play style.

For example, you'll notice in most screenshots, Shaq, Erick Dampier, Chandler, and other big men are always the last ones trailing the PG as he's bringing the ball up court. You'll also notice Bruce Bowen is heading directly to the corner as Parker is bringing the ball up court. They said it was in the game last year, but it was rarely noticeable seeing players go to their favorite spots.
