Are big guys like Amare and smaller guys like Rondo still doing 360 and windmill type of dunks? I hate seeing that in 2k8, did you notice a bit more realistic dunks? Like just a simple tomahawk or a simple 2 handed slam?

Thanks for answering my question. And also, did you notice any of those animations where a player would stop themselves on the sideline by running into the commentators table, or when a player would run around a referee, or animations like that?

In that same way, bigs won't be able to come up and lock on to guards and stay with them tight; and a big who is dribbling the ball up the court better get rid of the ball if a guard comes running at him, because the guard will pluck you. They know that the lock on D was pretty cheese -- I refused to use it last year because it just felt so unfair. However, I can't say for sure how much it's improved until I play some of those diabolical folks online and see if it's easier to not get stuck in animations and so forth. I didn't feel like I was getting stuck in too many animations when playing this time though.

Just what I wanted to read. Thanks man.

Re: Community Q&A: NBA 2K9

This is a question of mine from the E3 thread but you should be able to answer this one.

Can you set who the primary ball handler on the team is? To prevent the lamar odom bringing the ball up every time thing. Let the user have a choice.

Are the refs next-gen? In all the games I see the same ref, and he acts the same as ps1 refs.

Can you play in pre-season mode?

Will there be player of the month in the game?

Re: Community Q&A: NBA 2K9

Since you played with the Jazz did you get to take any shots with Korver and if so were they going in(for the life of me I could not hit a shot wit him in 2K8)

Do you know if the user can change players shoes?

And can you explain more about the loading screen with the real life highlights? Like was it just Deron or were they showing him vs the other teams PG? If not thats ok and thanks!

Didn't notice that, could be there, not sure.

I saw some new animations, but not sure if I saw any lead pass ones. I never remembered to do mid-air shot changes since it's new and I just wasn't thinking about doing it yet. I think I should make it clear that mid-air shots isn't the only thing. They really wanted to improve faders and leaners to make them look more natural.

Bonus: Did you get to see the Raptors? Does Bosh still look like a freak of nature or is he a human now?

I'm so stoked about the Jazz changes, they're my favorite team to play with.
1. I think I saw the most new animations when it came to contested lay ups and so forth. The interactions in the air were really good I thought. One that sticks out is, I believe when I was the Pistons Rip took it hard to the rim and made the lay up, then fell down after and did like a backwards somersault. It looked really natural.

2. Need to explain a bit more.

3. Wasn't paying attention much during the stoppages. Did you think the KG one looked bad during E3? I mean if you didn't like that one I guess you won't like others.

4. See above.

Bonus: Sorry, nope.

I mean, at the end of the day it is still a video game so I think they'll always take some things over the top. However the only two facials I can think of from my session were AK throwing down a one-hand dunk over Rondo on the break, and then Stuckey cutting down the middle of the paint and throwing down a one hander on some C's player.

Re: Community Q&A: NBA 2K9

Are you aware whether or not there are any new features/game modes? Will NBA Blacktop be returning in 2K9? Dunk Contest, etc.?
