Honestly, I'd love to help you out but yea, can't.

Re: Community Q&A: NBA 2K9

Oops...I think I did read the first post a while ago and forgot...lol...

Anyway, my next set of questions

1. Will rosters finally be accurate? So many missing players the past few versions (even with the Roster updates).

2. On the post, when a smaller guy with a high steal rating is guarding...say...Yao Ming, you can just tap the steal button over and over, and you're most likely gonna poke it away every time. Some of those should be fouls...Has this been changed? Or was it seen as a minor problem? Probably just a few slider changes could remedy this problem, I dunno.

3. Is the court size more realistic? Feels like the court is so small and it makes double teams so much more effective because passes can be picked off so easily. Also, it seems that I can get up the court too quickly than I should. If I play 12 minute quarters, even on HOF mode, I can get damn near 200 points a game, regardless of what team I use, same with the computer.

If you're still taking questions, was off-ball control the same as 2K8?

I don't know if this is something that anyone's mentioned but I've always had an issue with NOT being able 2 call timeouts in between free throws...

It'd be nice if that could be added

Re: Community Q&A: NBA 2K9

Some of my biggest questions, revolve around roster management.

In the past, I can only play season mode because this is the only mode that will allow you to play any game on the schedule and the only mode to allow you to try to keep rosters as close to the regular season as possible.

1. Is there a season mode still included, or have you atleast given the same ability to play any game on the schedule, even a team you are not controlling in franchise mode?

2. With regards to roster management...have you guys finally given us the ability to manage rotation and rosters in season or franchise mode this year. Its great and all to finally get Mo Williams on Clevelands roster, but if he is stuck the reserve list and we can't get him into the starting point guard spot...then whats the point? Follow?

Let's say you have the ball and the defense fouls you but its a non shooting foul...I heard that you can shoot a shot even after the whistle is blown...were you able to see that animation during your hands-on with the game?

Re: Community Q&A: NBA 2K9

Hey I know you commented on more blocking animations this year but any insight into this?

1. When you block a shot, the ball physics are really poor. If you watch any basketball game, blocked shots tend to have a horizontal trajectory rather than it looking like you lobbed a beachball up in the air. Also when you go for a block, your body and the swat is positioned in the direction you were in when you press Y. Do players now make an adjustment to go for the ball?

2. What about the vertical rating? This and the blocking attribute in last years game seemed to mean very little. All that matters is height. Being Yao, you'll get a ton of blocks, but if you are say, Lebron, you won't get as many. Or even take Dwight Howard...one of the best but you won't get nearly as many because Yao is 7'6" and Howard is 6'10" yet in real life Dwight Howard can jump higher and is a better shot blocker. When you go for a block, your player jumps at some predetermined height. Everyone's vertical is the same and height is the only thing that matter.

3. Player dynamics - most players, even the 6'6" guards almost always block shots at the top of the backboard square. In NBA2k8, players heads are at the rim, but their reach isn't long enough for them to touch the top of the backboard square. Either their arms are too short in the game, or there isn't much attention being paid to this physical attribute.

Thanks, keep up the great work.

Wow Chase, you're STILL answering questions? Ur a trooper. I was just wondering if you happened to hear if there would be any differences graphicly between the PS3 and 360 versions? I know on 2k8, at least in my opinion, the colors seemed more vibrant and sharper on the 360, and since I have both systems, i got the 360 version. But I kinda wanted to get the PS3 version this year since thats the one I have online, but i wanted to see if they would be graphically equal

I haven't been answering for a little bit now, seems like everything I know has been sucked out of my brain already by you folks. Don't think I'd be much more help at this point.
