Yea man, I am incredibly bad at this game. They were shooting 80% in the first quarter, but as the game went on and I learned more their fg percentage dropped.

hey playmaker,
very good sliders.. im playin 11 min all star, i increased human defensive rebounds.. and lowered both layup values. they still outrebound me
i dont have to even worry about PiP it seems natural when ppl attack basket now but, that may be b'c i put both H and CPU "backdoor cut" to 0--
backdoor cut at zero makes the CPU have to work more for theyre points. and its easy as human to backdoor as well so that tendency is 0
any other adjustments were minor and i reccomend these to any one as a starting point// everyone's personal shot sliders will vary,to (i think)
and how well they defend the cpu's shots is why, i also found that if u lower the human "look for post" rating down to like 25 your character will not go into the post animation while your driving to the basket. and if ur post up animation gets hung up, pump fakin. manually shoot out with x-- u can pass out that to.
just what im seein in the game hope it helps..
i also increased the "commit foul" tendency to get more fouls called and missed and1 attempts (preference). which is why it is important to lower layup slider or ur PIP will seem to high.
one more thing , with contest shot and block so high i tried lowering vertical a tad it seemed to help with cpu blocks, but i wory that it made inside scoring easier.
oh and props for getting the A.I on human and cpu team for DEFENSE just right. imo
nobody stands around anymore on d.
which makes the all - star difficulty even harder which is good.

A couple of questions for you
I have Human Committ Fouls at 90 and CPU at 70 already. I still think that the Human player doesn't foul enough so do you suggest bumping it up to 100?
I'll also look into backdoor cuts. I actually don't mind the CPU beating me every now and then backdoor. Hopefully 0 they'll still attempt some backdoor cuts nd catch me off guard.
I don't know i play with the default camera brodcast i believe with the zoom out about 2-3 clicks gives me a great view of the entire floor kinda like the Press Box Camera in NBA Live.
Oh yeah and with verticals lowered which i've done every year even in NBA Live it just makes things look more realistic because a lot of bigs look crazy jumping out the gym with unrealistic verticals in every b-ball game i've played. Dropping it down 5-10 points clicks doesn't stop anyone from pulling off dunks it just stops most bigs from looking like a Larry Nance clone in terms of hops.

I'm not sure if you've changed these since earlier this morning, but I just got the Yao Ming trophy with these sliders and wanted to share my stats with you, plus I like to look at these things on paper afterward anyway.
Points in the paint were still a big factor for both teams, but I was able to get a lot of space with McGrady and actually scored all my points with him off jumpshots or free throws according to the gametrack. Still, one problem I had that artificially held the points down and kept this game close was some of Yao's absolutely terrible layup attempts. I've seen him mess up some dunks before, and I'm sure he misses layups and shots near the rim. But I didn't take 28 shots with Yao because I was forcing the issue - this guy was wide open for large chunks of the game and would just hit invisible walls with his shots. I also saw a couple of airballs in situations that seemed really unnecessary - actually they might have been the first airballs I've seen.
But that said, I really like the way the game moves with these settings. I was skeptical because with 2K9, I felt like messing with the game speed so negatively really made the game feel like a non-NBA game, it really moved at a snail's pace. But in 2K10 it seems like doing these drastic alterations to the game mostly just makes it play smoother and more coordinated, which I think has to be a good thing. But they don't really do anything to stop the massive amounts of points in the paint other than force players to miss shots because the odds are so against them.

As far as drastic alterations I don't really pay much attention about that stuff because one guys preference or style of play could be completely different from my style. I mean seriously who's to say that with the sliders all set at 50 that isn't drastic already. Every sports games I've played has had something drastic happening with the default settings.
That's why I'm a firm believer that the only way you'll learn about sliders is if your willing to explore the sliders and see what works and what doesn't work regardless if it takes a setting down lower or up higher than the avg slider settings might be using.
There are guys who will choose stay CONSERVATIVE and inside the box and then there are guys who are going to EXPLORE and venture outside the box to see how much or how little a slider might IMPACT the GAMEPLAY OVERALL.
I'm mostly in the EXPLORE group because I'll always venture out a little further just to see if something out in left field might work better than the DEFAULT SETTINGS. If it doesn't work there's no rule that says you can't switch it back or change it.
Having said all that it looks like the 3-PT attempts can actually come up some more with these settings. I don't think the CPU takes enough 3's.
Also, blocks and steals are rather low which is great because that leaves me room to increase those sliders up a little further aswell.
I've always been big fan of getting the player movement down 1st and to be honest after reducing the quickness slider down this game can actually go back to default 50 speed and you'll still see less sliding and reduced lighting moves.
I'm now going to turn my focus towards adding more turnovers, 3-PT attempts and Foul shots into the game.. I think i went down too far on the foul slider because elite scorer's by themsleves should be getting 8-10 FT attempts per game.
I'll look into the inside shots aswell maybe boost it up about 2-4 more clicks but that will also require me boosting up the interior defense for both sides as i feel guys like D.Howard, Camby and Okafor aren't blocking enough shots. They are contesting shots much better it's not leading to enough blocks.
THANKS for sharing your stats and feedback about the gameplay because it helps me towards making adjustments.

I love these sliders, just played a NBA Today game using these.
Hornets(Cpu) Bobcats(me)
Field goals: 38/79 37/87
Field goal% 48% 42%
3 pointers 6/21 8/16
3 point% 28% 50%
I was down 19 heading into half-time cut it to 12 midway through the 3rd quarter. Hornets finished the third on a run taking a 16 point lead into the 4th quarter.
I come out in the 4th quarter blazing playing lockdown D, forcing turnovers, bad shots & cut down on my turnovers to pull within three. Final 20 seconds in the 4th I isolate Gerald at the top of the key, breaking down Peja causing a collapase in the D and then swung it to Vlad for the trey to send it into overtime.
We were neck and neck in overtime until the final minute of the game. Chris Paul stopped getting assists and went into I gotta win this for my team mode. He stole a pass which lead to a easy duece for him(fastbreak).
I come down the court running my offense, hit the med range jay with Vlad score now tied. Then Chris Paul came down the court, popped a three right in Feltons face with 30 seconds left.
Next possesion for me I miss a three, Hornets break the rebound tie and i'm forced to foul Paul to prevent them from running out the clock, he drains both free throws btw.
My next possesion I cough the ball up, Paul to Okafor for two. Final possesion for me I throw up a bad shot down seven with not enough time to attempt a comeback.
Not enough fouls, considering I was playing 12 minutes but it's only one game and my play style of staying away from the paint might be the cause of it.
Thanks for the sliders, aprreciate the work bro.

There are now 3 Quickness settings depending on your game speed preference.
Attributes

On Ball Defense-48/60
Blocking-74/84.............(There really isn't that many with verticals being lowered)
Tendencies-Single value means CPU setting only
Putbacks-38
Flashy Pass-6
Commit Fouls-96/76..........(Human has foul disparity advantage too often)
On Ball Steal-62/62
Back Door Cuts-6/6

Hey PM,
Looking forward to checking these out. I read somewhere about turning off CPU Assist. Did you do that combined with these sliders or left that alone?
1st game I played against the Kings (who somehow shoot the lights out normally) with the Wizards.
the Kings actually missed shots! finally. they shot 39% or something. it was refreshing for Nocioni and Evans to shoot realistically.
then the 2nd game I was the Hawks and played Celtics. snuck out a 2 pt win in an amazing game, both teams shot 50% or so but it was the right people making shots.
great job man. I think the Help D at 100 is key.
