If you enjoy running a basic offense using plays and trying to play the game realistically, these should be set up to allow you to do that. I would say you have to drop your own shooting sliders to compensate as well, depending on your skill level.

Defensive Lapses? Fix your Defensive Assist!
This is set to 50 at default. What it does it try and force your player into a better defensive position against your will. Mainly to help casuals, might be a detriment for guys like us.
Options - My Controller Settings
Drop it down for less CPU help and raise it for more. I have it at 0 but that's purely up to you. If you're giving up easy buckets to the CPU, move it up towards 100 for help as you need it.

Sorry fellas, I've gone away from full slider sets. Just don't have the time anymore. Especially with how much I help you guys out in other ways!
No defensive slider.
As for the paint, don't play randoms. You're going to be seeing the same thing in any game. These are just a way to get you going once you get the game.

Thanks for the sliders. But I wonder this. In 2K9 if the CPU sliders were lowered, then it was easier to beat the CPU.
Many videos show some close, back and forth games between the human player and CPU. If the CPU shooting sliders are lowered, the CPU will hit fewer shots and those close games become easy wins for the human player.
