NBA 2K Sliders>Pared's NBA 2k10 Tweaks (Post-Patch Updates in first post)
jonmchugh007 12:43 AM 10-06-2009
Wow Pared just played a dynamite game in my Cavs franchise in my 1st matchup at Orlando. It was a classic battle realistic of last year. It was a hard faught game. I built a 47-40 lead going into the 2nd half. Shaq was abusing them in the post. They kept going to VC against Delonte which ended up costing me the game. I find myself down 2 with 30 seconds left in the game. I get a steal LeBron gets a lay up and the foul on a fast break with about 14 seconds left to tie the game at 90. He nails the free throw to go up 91-90 my lead. I"m pumped. The magic inbound the ball and isolate VC on West. He drives past west and slams it home as he is fouled by Williams to go up 92-91 and sinks the and1 to make it 93-91 with 7.1 seconds left. I inbound the ball and isolate LBJ at the top of the key. He drives past Lewis on the left but he misses the layup for the loss. I was heartbroken. I had a 10 point lead in the 4th and blew the lead at Orlando. It was a crazy game. But every game has been like that in my association. I have fell 3-5 in my 1st 8 games so far. [Reply]

so pared, you arent touching those other sliders like strength, vertical, player speed, etc? i know you arent posting full sliders, but i just wasnt clear on whether that was because you didnt have time this year, or simply because you didnt think there was any real need to change the other sliders much. I would like to see some box scores agains the cpu on 10min quarter game.

I hear some people play 12 min quarters but by putting the shooting down at a low percentage you get way to many rebounds.

Is there any way to limit the number of assists that the computer PG's get? [Reply]

CPU (Boston) was killing me in 3 pointers they shot 14/21. Didn't help that my teammates left ppl wide open either but even while guarded Boston was shooting 3s in my face. My field goal was 62% while CPU was 51%. [Reply]

Man Pared I tweaked your sliders a bit and wow! i tried them on 2k9 and got great stats. now of course the inside shot slider wasnt there but i played on 8 minute quarters and held the Pistons to 54% shooting while i had 43% shooting :-) I put all fouls on 75 and had a very realistic game and even a foul out and a few others close to fouling out near the end of the game. Difficulty was All star also. Score was 110 to 89 haha my Mavericks lost :-( i think I'll keep these settings they're great for me.

42 Close Shots - CPU and Human
43 Mid-Range Shots - CPU and Human
47 3 Pt. Shots - CPU and Human
40 Stamina - CPU and Human
I lowered your base set slightly and the results speak for themselves. Also playing on all star i had no morphs! Lol I repeat NO MORPHS. now this was probably luck but i played multiple games and I'm guessing there are less morphs because at all star difficulty the computer isnt trying to cheat you out of everything to try and give you more of a supposed challenge. I'm sticking with these till the next generation! lol [Reply]

Here are some early settings so you can bring down the CPU shooting %'s:

CPU
All-Star Difficulty
42 Inside Shots
43 Close Shots
47 Mid-Range Shots
48 3 Pt. Shots

Also, if you're looking for player vs. player stats, those are a nice baseline as well.

I'm not posting user sliders because I can't predict how you guys play the game. Some people try to spam it in the paint, some like to take what the defense gives them, etc.

If you enjoy running a basic offense using plays and trying to play the game realistically, these should be set up to allow you to do that. I would say you have to drop your own shooting sliders to compensate as well, depending on your skill level.

Hope this helps.

EDIT:

Adding Foul settings. These are a must as well.

72 Charging Fouls
72 Blocking Fouls
80 Reach-In Fouls
80 Shooting Fouls
100 Loose Ball Fouls

I think those are the correct names. Don't have the names of each at the moment, just set them up going downward.

Do I use these sliders for human players also? [Reply]

Are those for tendancies or shot success? [Reply]

They work out well in head to head games. But if you mean about YOUR success... you can but I would adjust to your skill set. Remember, the CPU is always going to take the "best" shot. You're not as lucky. :-)

This game plays awesome. I have to play 12 minutes to get real scores.

I've never had that happen before.

10 minute game I won 78-71 with LBJ and the Cavs over the Bobcats. [Reply]

Yup, last game against the Knicks as the Jazz we shot around 48% and 51%, respectively. [Reply]
