There is a Help Defense slider and a defensive awareness attribute slider its at 50 on default. I would turn that up to around 60 maybe more to stop inside passes and increase alley oop deflections and lower FG%.

Pared, I wanted to personally thank you for posting these sliders. I am getting realistic stats, but most importantly, I am finally competitive with the CPU on 10 minute quarters. Fantastic find with these sliders. I wholeheartedly recommend them anyone who considers themselves a sim head not hell bent on exploiting the game. The shooting %'s have ranged from the low 40s to the mid 50s; a drastic difference from the ungodly percentages that I was seeing out of the box. Thanks again!

Just saw a option in "controller options" that has a slider for "defensive assist stregth" that is supposed to help the AI defensive assistance

Where do you go for online settings this year for custom games?

I think Pared's sliders are a great start, but even with them, I feel like the FG%'s are still out of control, especially with the CPU.

i used them as a guideline for all star - fg% still a bit high, but much improved. i might lower it a bit more, but 1 game i held raptors to 42%, next game celtics shot 58% on me. still experimenting.
a few things i touched - raised contest shots to 55 for both user and cpu, lowered cpu alley oop to 30 or 35 i believe, and raised shot tendancy for cpu to 75 for medium range, lowered inside to 30. and lowered cpu offensive awareness to 40, raised defenseive awareness for both user and cpu to i think 55 or 60.
game plays a LOT better, few more tweaks and this will easily be the best playing 2k game in recent memory.
if only the framerate lag issue can be fixed...
