A lot of the time, in this game, you have to create your own fouls to get realistic FT attempts for the bigs.

neon im playing on pro with default foul settings and game sliders, except for speed, i lowered that to 30, and i have defense play set on auto for coaching, thats about it...

i thought people here were playing it on pro thats why i played it on that, what difficulty do you recommend? all star, superstar?

and a noob question here, i know that overtime is 5 minutes in real life, but since ive never gone into overtime in 2k9, is it set to 5 also or lower like 4?

Neon, youre on the way to make this game a real great one. Thank you alot for that.

I just tested my first game with your rosters after I read athe whole thread about them today. I had to find out, whats behind the talking, and I want to admit strongly, that this makes the gameplay really great so far.

I played with the T-Blazers against the Thunder and won with 114 - 112. Rudy Fernandez sealed the deal with two clutch free throws in the final seconds.

Here are the stats:

Thunder vs. Blazers (me)
FG 46/86 - 45/77 (result of crappy defense?)
3FG 7/23 - 4/11 (real good)
FT 9/14 - 20/27 (I actually got to the line very often, as you see)
Asst 33 - 29
TOs 7 - 11
Fouls 18 - 15
Rebs 32 - 28 (because of good shooting %)
ORebs 6 - 3
Stl 8 - 7
Blk 4 - 6
PiP 56 - 72 (pretty high, but also a alot scoring down there because of crappy defense and me mostly slashing to the rim)
Bench 34 - 29
Second Chance 11 - 4
FBP 4 -2

Some things were maybe out of line, but it was a real pleasure to play the way it was. So I'm really looking forward to you finishing that stuff and I really appreciate your work alot. I will two other teams now, and perhaps post the results later.

I cant tell you which one is best suited for who. It all depends on YOUR skill level.

What i do for myself is start from HOF and if i cant handle it or be competitive enough, or score or defend well enough to keep myself in the game, i move down a level until i figure out what skill i am.

If your not worried about the comepetion aspect and you are more anal retentive about the look of the final box score (or dont even play and just watch sim) and the feel of the game, start from Pro and work up.

For myself I always work down instead of up because human nature is to stay where the easy sucess is at. Which eventually leads to boredom.

A couple tips..I dont know if you were or werent, but i know the Human controlled teams (you guys) are not used to the system and tendencies and what not but dont be afraid to let shots go.

Because the ratings have always been so skewed towards inside play (i.e. guards with 99 close, Every star big with 95+ close etc), it kinda trained us into always trying to force inside where the super high ratings were.

You guys may not have the players general playing tendencies memorized like i kinda do (from entering the data so much and so long), but when your playing using Rondo and KG comes up high and sets you that screen, get ready because he is about to be wide open right under the 3pt and top free throw circle extended.

Give it to him and DO NOT be afraid to shoot it, right away. If you watch certain teams and you find players like KG wide open in spots that you KNOW youve seen him shoot and shoot often from, then let it go. His sucess rate is not that much better (if at all in his case) running down your playclock trying to force feed into a certain spot. Do NOT be afraid to utilize shooting 4's or anybody else for that matter.

I know exactly what you mean neon...Im a huge celtics fan and know how the team plays in real life and everytime KG is open for a jumper especially in the 19-15 ft range, i let it go. Today he got on fire from me doing that and poured in 36. Same with Ray, he likes to come off screens so give it to him when he does and he will score. So really if you guys know a team well and know there strengths, dont be afraid to play like they do in real life. It does work...

Neon, I believe your latest version is getting close to PERFECT!! I am only consistently seeing one problem game in and game out.....CPU PG'S LACK OF AGGRESSIVENESS.....i cant tell you how many times ill play against CP3 or against Rondo and they finish the game with single digits in points and only drive the lane maybe 2-3 times per game....my first game with your latest version was Blazers vs Spurs and Tony Parker finished with 5 points on on 2-4 shooting.....and i know you saw what TP did to your magic last night.....these elite PG's are dishing the rock realistically but its just killen me to see these guys play so passive.....is there anything that can be done because this is the only issue im having right now.....everything else is GREAT!!!

I would agree. They are playing really great games, but the PG's just seem to hold the ball to much and not do much with it. I have even tried to give them a little room, to see if they will drive, but they seem to docile....
