Hope it works for you. Im not sure if it will with only coach profiles and no player tendency/rating changes though. I litterally edited 100% of every available rating and tendency available to me.

Good luck though, i might be able to figure something out for you guys though.

The way it was before is that rookie wouldnt be able to come in and get shots unless you edited them..

Which is the reason why if you sim down the line (and more rooks come in and others start to original players retire) you get Durant and others started averaging 50ppg. Rashard Lewis deep into his late 30's was averaging 30ppg on my team when testing, this puts our current players on scale with the cpu generated and in turn also gives you the opportunity to find high scoring diamonds in the rough without having to cheat the system by changing a players tendencies (which in reality we should have no control over).
I know what you mean. Just had another question though. I noticed you reduced players close shot which it wonderful. I also thought players close shot was to high. A lot of rookies who come in have close shot attributes in the 70s and 80s. The problem is if they have a high potential eventually they will reach upper 80s and 90s in close shot. Even point guards. For example if a point guard has a 80 close shot and high potential what do you think his close shot should be reduced to so you can prevent him from having a to high close shot when in progress?

Do you recommend all tendency sliders be on default?

Hey Neon, didn't you say something about players having twice there close shot tendencies like KG or whatever? You said you knew exactly what the number was which is what is causing all the PIP..

Also, for your next team can you do the Bulls please ? I need to play with my boy DRose!

Yeah. If its on PRO there are no need for sliders at all as all changes/fixes get made in Coaching Profiles and Player edits only. HOF as of right now is a good game but the PIP and FG% can get a little high. Not like insanely high but like normal high. Its a good game on both IMO.

I just re-uploaded Neon1 v1.10 (cut D.Miles, Croshere and modified profiles for HOU and LA 's close and Mid range. So if you dl'd this morning re-down it.

It was a paint fest when i just tested them against eachother on HOF. Yao+Scola+Gasol+Bynum is a a.i. nightmare. Hopefully the slight mod helps out.

Re: GAMEPLAY POSSIBLY FIXED.....CHECK OUT THE COACH SLIDERS AND TENDENCIES.

First ! I'd like to thank you Neon for your very hard work ! Everybody here in this forum are appreciate it !

As you see, topics which I opened, I try to find the way to the realistic gameplay of CPU.

I was happy when I saw your thread, and your ideas with player tendencies, attributes, coach profiles. The way you thinking. It's a good way.

I play on PC, when today Stizz upload the spreadsheet of the values (Heat and Hornets) I edited the Heat players, and I play a game Heat vs. Heat. In the first game I played just the 1st quarter. It was good.
Then, I leave the CPU play himself, so I watched a CPU vs CPU game.
Because I wanted to saw, how the CPU play against good defense. (Because CPU play better defense, than me, not so many little mistake.)

And after this I played a game (just 2 quarter). Heat vs Heat again.

In my 2nd game (User vs CPU) CPU scores just 2 mid shots in 2 quarters. I don't know why, because in the first, they shot about 6 in 2 quarters

Some thing, I saw during the games

- many midrange shot, (I don't know what was in the 2nd game ??? ) which is very good. This was so realistic, and I'm happy to see this. I'm a midrange maniac.
- the opponent Wade (you know, I played Heat vs. Heat) played good, like in real life.

But, my happiness is not 100 %

- I think the steal attempt by the CPU is a little bit high. They always try to steal the ball, when I just stand front of my defender. I know, in real life, defenders try to steal too, but here I see so many attempt. Maybe lower the global slider a little bit ?
I don't know what effect this, maybe on ball steal ???

- too many threepoint attempts. In the first half of all the 2 games there were about 15 3pt attempts. I think it's not good.

- too many blocks. CPU defenders always block the last seconds attempts, and some "open" shots.

- And sometimes (like in my 2nd game) CPU makes too many PiP shots. Beasley just shot from indide, Cook go inside, etc.

- Big mans get the pass and step back and back and back, my defender palyer can't do nothing, and PCU player makes an easy shot.

(- Zone usage is a little bit high. In my 2nd game, CPU change his defense to Zone, and in my team, Cook was always alone. Always ! He shot about 3 open shots. ANd CPU try to use the zone defense again, in my next offense. I don't knowi ts the coaching profiles Zone usage thing... )

And a very good thing !!! Which was problem in other threads: players not successful always from the 3pt line, when they are open. I think it's good, because in real life it happens often.

I think this is a super way to the realistic CPU gameplay, but we know, it's not 100%, and we have to continue this way. If you need any help, just write here in the topic !

Peace

P.S.: I'm going to play another test game, and I'll write my experience.

Ill do them next..it was gonna be either them or the Knicks or Grizzlies. If it doesnt get up by tonight before i leave for work ill have them up thursday.

They have ZERO low post threats so in theory they should play and awesome looking game.

Hmm...im not really sure what to tell you there. The reason why is because i dont actually make up the rating numbers they get made for me (yes i created the program..but still).

But my thoery on the rookies is unless its just COMPLETELY out of scale you leave it alone. Your gonna suck the fun out of it, were being control freaks.

When LeBron entered the league we couldnt say "Hey your not allowed to run as fast as point guards because your 250-260. You know where im going? I mean Charles Barkley came into the league and was 6-4 and killed the glass, should we have turned his rebound ratings down because it wasnt "realistic"?

We should let the generated/not in the NBA people alone and let them develop into whatever they develop. If you get lucky you get lucky if you get a bust you get a bust. THAT is being realistic not changing the players into what we want them to be like.

Yeah im already going through and editing the Close tendencies to actual. Only HOU,LAL,ORL and CLE have been re-re-modified so there will still be a little too much PIP with those teams for now until i get back to them.

Im happy its getting better. Only thing is since your on PC i have NO IDEA if EVERYTHING for you is programmed the same way. Things that effect the console might not nessesarily effect yours the same and vice versa....Maybe somebody can get an offical word on that?

Side note the tiny changes i made to LAL and HOU is making this game 10 times better than the previous test. Much less Bynum and Gasol and Scola. Just enough Yao.
