Tried nearly every Slider but i still have big problems so please help me!!!

hey guys,

i have tried nearly every Slider from OS but i have still extreme problems to play in a way that i like.

I used to play like a dribble drive motion offense, that means i play kind of draw and kick. Cut, when defender comes to help, pass the ball to the open guy out there.

But the problem is that i can no longer play this type of gameplay in 2k9. there are no open Shooter or anything like that. The game isn´t realistic for me because when i beat a defender no one comes to help out....although i have Help D at 100.

So what can i do to get free Shooters? Are there any Sliders were i can play like i used to play? or do you guys have any hints for me?

so please help me because i have no idea what i should do.

That's the biggest gripe I have with this game . Defenders rotate too fast, they stick to the offensive player like glue, generally it's very hard to get a shot without defender in your grill. I guess ther is nothing you can do about it. Maybe the patch will fix it, but I wouldn't count on it, because this problem has existed for many years.

Well, at least last year, when you beat your defender and kicked it out, you would get an open shot. But now like you said there is no help defense. and if there is you still cant get an open shot. I also think that you should post this on the general board. Maybe you will get more replys/posts.

I am a draw and kick guy also. When I saw that help D slider...I thought we were set.

But it doesn't work / makes no difference.

There's no draw and kick game. Guards simply never leave their man / recover defense is like glue.

Im not experiencing any of these problems.

try raising the strength of the cpu and lower yours. to make it harder to get by defenders.

The open shooters, try running plays where shooters come off of screens, and you may want to increase the screen strength.

the draw and kick. You need an effective post player or a guard who has good penetrating skills. Score a few baskets iin the post and youll see the defender collapse.

Ina ddition players get open you have to be patient when running your offfense. run the plays the way they are designed and guarenteed youll have 1 or 2 options.

Help D slider is broken ( doesnt work ), what level u play on??

Yeah I´m trying everything i can but i doesen´t work. So is the game broke or what can we do?

I raised the Strength Slider to 100 for the CPU and 0 to me but the only result i got was that every time the ball went down the post my defenders tried to double the man and it wasnt important if that was Kwame Brown or Pau Gasol. So the CPU got open Shots but that isnt the solution for me!

I play with the Heat so Flash is kind of a good penetrader but it doesnt work either...


So is this a problem in the game we have to live with or are their any solutions?

At the moment i play with tnjigs Sliders and i tweaked them a liitle bit.

The game is soo great but with this error it destroys the whole fun....

i'm not familiar with the whole basketball lingo, but if you want people to come off your screen effectively, increase screen success to 100. and put on ball D to 0. that's how i have my settings and i always see my pg or sf running off screens to hit the open 3. also, on coach settings, raise your run play to about 50+, i noticed they do this a lot more when its raised.
