so I took 5 slider sets and did an "average" of settings...

...and the games have been turning out sweet. No PiP problem, and realistic stats all the way through

I'll post them up when I get a chance, hopefully tomorrow night.

I did it almost randomly but picked sliders sets that have been on the first page for a while. I'll try it with averaging even more one day, but so far so good.

But as for the basics, I used 10 minute quarters on All-Star, clutch factor OFF (becomes too cheesy with it on), and gameplay speed at 48. I'm also using Razr's rosters and tendencies I tweaked all the sliders and rules by using the sliders from:

Holliday
Jukeman
Benicio
Theenemey
nogster

when i add more sliders i'll add Jrose and stuff

I also went ahead and tweaked some myself as I played a couple games and noticed some things.

I'll also feel more comfortable posting the sliders once I play a couple more games too, but looking great so far.

Have you finished testing your sliders and if so, would you mind posting them? Thanks my friend.

Yea, I posted them in another thread...here is my copy/paste

Ask and you shall receive.

First off, I'm using Razr's rosters and coaching profiles for PS3. Numba-1-piick puts them up on 2k share, so I can't guarantee how accurate they are but I trust him/them better than the 2k developers.

Gameplay settings
Difficulty: Pro
Quarter Length: 10 minutes
Fatigue: On
Injuries: Off
Clutch Factor: Off
Real FT%: On
Game Speed: 48
Free Throw Diff: 30

These settings above are mostly preferences. You can adjust them as you please. I personally HATE clutch factor, I've been too cheesed from it. And I turn down the FT difficulty just because I haven't memorized all the different animations and my % struggles at default setting. This is preference to you. I also go back and forth between Pro and All-Star and I'm not exactly sure which way I want to go. Some games are too easy on Pro, but other games (more than not) have played perfectly for me. On All-star it seems like the CPU is on the edge of going full out cheese on you. Sometimes they behave, other times it's almost as if they ignore all Slider settings and do anything possible to beat you, lol. They get magical speed bursts and you all of a sudden can't hit anything.

Anyway, moving on.

NBA Rules
Charging: 80
Blocking: 80
Reaching: 55
Shooting: 60
Loose: 100
Intentional: On

I ended up going with Wonderland's rule settings. They played really good for me, so I didn't end up tweaking them. Holliday's worked really well too, but too many reach in fouls (basically every time). I got realistic FT attempts with these, it has a simulation feel to it, so it might be too many fouls if you're used to video game basketball.

Now for the sliders.
Close: 35
Mid: 45
3-pt: 50
Layup: 45
Dunk: 50
DiT: 25
Screen: 85

Steal: 30
Help D: 100

Stealing: 10
Blocking: 0
Ball Handling: 0
Dunk Ability: 45
Off. Awareness: 20
Def. Awareness: 85
Off. Rebound: 0
Def. Rebound: 70
Clutch: 0
Speed: 20 user, 8 CPU (they still catch you sometimes)
Strength: 50
Stamina: 50
Durability: 50
Vertical: 0
Quickness: 0
Hustle: 50
Hands: 0
On-Ball D: 55
Injury: 60

Now the most important, the CPU tendencies:
Take Close: 5
Take Mid: 100
Take 3-pt: 30
Attack: 5
Finish Strong: 50
Look for Post: 90
Triple Threat: 75
Fadeaways: 75
Hookshots: 75
Putbacks: 30
Flashy Pass: 5
Commit Fouls: 65
Passing Lanes: 25
On-Ball Steals: 40
Contest Shots: 70
Sizeup: 0

Thank you pbz06. Are these still working out for you? Have you made any changes?

I've played about 5 games so far, and they have been good overall.

The pros are that overall I have been getting realistic stats and gameplay.

I had 1 weird super easy game, where the CPU shot 30% and clanked everything. It might have been a fluke. I also had another game where I couldn't hold the fast breaks and they killed me with layups. The other 3 games were REALLY nice and realistic. All the stats across the board were very respectable, even the PiP was at about 35% of the total points. Nothing in the entire game stood out as unrealistic.

I want to play a couple more games and tweak some more things, but we got crazy brush fires around here, and I actually am packed and almost time to evacuate, so the PS3 is packed up

I'm confident in the sliders though.

i found it wierd how you made 3's more easy to make than midrange shots.

meaning when wide open they would make more 3's than midranges shots.

depends on who you were versing, remember all teams play differently

that's not how it works...3's are already difficult to make. By leaving it at 50, teams shoot in the 30-40% range, which is realistic.

I turned down the midrange a bit because they were tooo easy to knock down at the default setting. I was shooting 50-60% with it at 50, so i turned that down, along with close shots (which are still easy). I get field goal percentages in the 40-45% range, which is realistic.

Like I said, I looked at several slider sets and everybody seems to be on the same page in regards to that.

Try them out before commenting please.

p.s.- i changed On-Ball D to 55.....i think by lowering it, it makes the CPU take the outside shot a little more, instead of looking to cut or drive for the layup.

my PiP has been in the 33% range the last couple games!!

Gilateen did this some years ago and the results were cool. Best sliders for Live 03/04.

LMAO.

Threes are hard enough , and from watching on tv anybody who is remotely decently at 3's in real life knocks down the open spankin trey, and with it 47 & lower you miss too many so 50 is about right
