Does Changing the Difficulty Mess with Sliders?

I noticed every time I'll start to play an association game with sliders and the cpu would play fine. But then I'd feel like its too easy and turn up the difficulty in game and the computer would disregard the sliders and play its normal cheesey way. Is it just me or are you not supposed to mess with it during the game?

changing difficulty makes tha cpu smarter. so if u want to play non-cheesy way select pro. if u want different variety then select all-star.
