I tried BL's sim. sliders but too many points in the paint.

I want to try others.

I'd like to know too. The slider market right now is waaaaaaaaaaaaay oversaturated. We need a good solid set or two, not the tons that are out there.

Meh, too hard to pick one.

First of all, there are waaaaaaaay too many, and each have vastly different slider settings with different explanations.

Seems like several play OK overall, but every single one has their own specific problem.

I think it would be better if all the guys making sliders just get together in one super thread and discuss each and every slider and come to a conclusion or something.

I've tried all the major ones on this forum, but there seems to be an issue with each one that almost kills it. I liked Ben's ideas and direction, but he got busy with school and the discussions stopped.

This game is starting to get frustrating....one day it's the PG assault glitch, where a guy like Udrich becomes a harlem globetrotter dancing around and chucking up 3's and drains 12 of them and ends up with 45 points....or the CPU grabs every offensive rebound, or there was way too many steals/blocks....and there's always a guy that goes 12-15 from the field.

don't know, it just seems like there's always something in each slider that frustrates me

i cannot agree with u more! i really like ben's idea too, step by step instead of rush out a good one n call himself realistic.
each of them has its own good and bad, for jukesman, he really created the space for user, so we can acutally shoot the ball! others have its own goods, but, one thing that no one can fix is: nobody can stop the cpu's pip, i mean, the backdoor just kill me every game! i hope everyone can combine their set and work together!

Re: So who's sliders are the best for now?

I think my sliders have been pretty decent at defusing the points in the paint, at least to some degree. At this point it is pretty much a programming issue it seems, so hopefully it can get fixed with a patch soon, but I've been having better success at more realism.

Basically you're main points of emphasis should be high defensive awareness, low offensive awareness, pretty much a single click above 0 for shots inside and attacking the basket. There's also a bunch of other tweaks to make the game more defensive oriented and less easy to get to the hoop, as well as more individual coaching tendencies that should be tweaked.

It's not perfect by any means, but it's better than what we've got. I've been having what I think are great games. Sometimes you might see some bad tendencies early on, but once you get your defense straight things tend to average out over the course of the game.

Incidentally, this isn't an endorsement of my sliders as "the best" by any stretch of the imagination. I'm still tweaking them and have a few ideas to test out for further possible updates.
