Clutch Factor

Can you guys talk a little about exactly what clutch factor does? It's my understanding that it's essentially a "Keep Game Close" option that allows the losing team to hit shots they wouldn't normally make. In online leagues you don't have the option to turn it off, but I put it on 25 and some users had a problem with that (probably should've been on 0)

Re: Clutch Factor

I would love to hear this as well, does Clutch Factor allow the star players to hit shots at a higher frequency down the stretch? Im noticing a disturbing trend where the CPU really lights it up late with their star players. Against New Jersey Vince Carter couldnt be stopped, against Boston Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett couldnt be stopped etc. On the flip side, some of my guys are going from "cant throw it in the ocean for 3+ quarters" to "cant miss down the stretch", is this another side effect of the clutch factor?

Re: Clutch Factor

According to the official 2K online manual, it states that,
Quote:
"Clutch Factor
Clutch Factor only kicks in during late game situations. It gives the player a boost in other
attributes late in the game if their Clutch Factor is high enough."
Personally with it off, I still see Nash, Kobe, and some other stars hit threes like its nothing late in the game.

Re: Clutch Factor

i turn it OFF

seems like a cheap way for the CPU to throw more cheese at us.

when I have it ON, the star players become a Spartan Soldier and can't be stopped

the star players still have the advantage and take over late in games because of their natural skill

clutch is unrealistic and an unfair "boost" and a cheap way for the CPU to throw more cheese at you.....in real life there is no button that players turn on and become gods. if it was that easy, then every star player in the NBA would single handedly win every game they trail late

Re: Clutch Factor

if you turn it on and leave it at 50, cpu will do whatever they can to tie your score up which is totally stupid, because even if you use like celtics playing like the thunders, they will catch up, so everyone on their teams will have super power JUST TO MAKE THE GAME MORE CLOSE AND CHALLENGING BUT NOT REALSTIC

for those that worry, if the cpu will stiill play smart on on offense with its off bevcause i understand you guys don't want cpu to cheat BUT STILL CHALLENGE YOU FAIRLY RIGHT? So the key here is offensive awareness, i tried putting it at zero, it was a boring *** game, i can predict what cpu does ALL TIMES, so i set it to 25 and its a lot MOREEE challenging but play very fairly, i am goign to try 50 next game to see!
