ZACHB File Info/ Improvements Thread

My updated 2012 and 2013 draft classes as of 6/18 are available. The 2012 and 2013 classes feature some new players and updated ratings. Also, the 2012 class now has official combine measurements. Here's the file info for them both, which are on the PS3.

File name: ZACHB 2012 V4
File name: ZACHB 2013 DRAFT V2
Username (for both): PatsRule1281

If you have any comments or suggestions you can put them down here.

I would like to make a request for Andrew Wiggins to be included in the 2014 draft class, even though he is part of the 2014 high school class at the moment. I heard that he likely can reclassify to 2013, making him draft eligible a year earlier.

Wiggins seems to be the best high school player in the world right now, and he's getting the label as "Canada's LeBron James". I would love to have this kid in my association mode.

I second this. This guy is freakishly athletic and will most likely (provided he doesn't become a bust over time) be a superstar within a few years.

Re: ZACHB File Info/ Improvements Thread

Just downloaded your 2012 class & let me start by saying this is by far the BEST one I've found on 2k Share. A few things I noticed for your next update...
  • Anthony Davis, because of his unbelievable length, I'd make him 6'11" since there's no way to adjust arm length...that's just me though
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist needs a higher 3PT and secondary position of SG
  • Brad Beal needs improvement all around as he'll probably go #2
  • Jared Sullinger is 6'9" not 6'10" (I actually think he's really 6'8") & 275
  • Harrison Barnes needs secondary position of SG
  • Tyler Zeller should have speed around 75...he runs the floor like a deer & despite not being extremely athletic he is fairly quick for a big
  • Terrence Jones I would change his drive tendency even more to the left, I'd set the drive right to less than 20
  • Doron Lamb needs secondary of PG & 3PT around 80-83...you've got him as more of a mid-range jump shooter when he's primarily a spot up 3PT guy...his FT is more like L.Aldridge or J.Crawford because his stance is turned at an angle...his #1 play type should be 3PT
  • John Jenkins can play PG as well
  • Fab Melo should be one skin tone lighter
  • Darius Miller is projecting as a SF/SG...practice reports consistent said he was team's best 3PT shooter but was inconsistent in games...I'd bump 3PT to 75 & medium to 70 (great mid-range shooter too)...ball-handling needs to be better...I'd lower consistency to 55...dribble pull-up ability should be average...his #4 play type should be Post Up Low (he posted a ton for UK)
Again, awesome draft class! Just trying to offer help with players I know a lot about and have seen play way too many times...Thanks!

Re: ZACHB File Info/ Improvements Thread

For your 2014 class, don't forget Kyle Wiltjer from Kentucky. I didn't see him in your 2013 class & I agree I don't think he'll come out then, but I do see him progressing enough to go in 2014. I think this is pretty much well known but thought I'd throw it out there any way, top 3 for 2014...

1. Jabari Parker (SI called him best HS prospect since LeBron)
2 & 3. The Harrison twins from Houston

If by chance you do a 2015 class, I watched a rising junior kid from Indiana today that's rated 5* by Rivals & is legit (Jaquan Lyle). I watched him play 3 games this weekend in person & I can give some info on his game if you decide to do 2015 class...thanks again for the time and hard work to upload quality classes!

Alright, there's a lot to run through on this. I'm going to answer these honsetly.

-Anthony Davis might actually measure out 6-11 at the combine, so I'll probably change him to 6-11 in my next update.
-MKG probably will play some SG in the NBA so I'll address that, but he cannot shoot the 3 to save his life (25% from three, made 1 every three games), so I'm not increasing that unless he impresses with his shooting during his workouts.
-Brad Beal I think is fine where he is, I don't see him mocked 2nd anywhere. might go up a point if he does well during workouts.
-Sullinger probably is around 6-9, I will change his height after it's official at the combine. Sullinger lost a lot of weight over the past year so I think he weighs less than 275, but again we'll see at the combine.
-Agree on Barnes, he's more of a swingman than a true SF so I'll add SG.
-75 is too high for any center, I don't even know if I had Drummond at 70. Zeller should be around 60 tops considering really athletic centers such as Dwight Howard are only in the 50s for speed in the 2K roster.
-Terrence Jones I'll change.
-You're right on Doron Lamb, don't know why I had him more of a mid-range shooter.
-Jenkins played some PG at Vandy, but most sites I looked at listed him as a pure SG at the NBA level.
-Melo: I'll look at this again.
-Darius Miller-I'll increase his mid-range, but I don't think he'll be posting up down low in the NBA.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Re: ZACHB File Info/ Improvements Thread

A few things I noticed about the 2013 draft class that you may want to look into...

Alex Poythress is rated a bit too high...I do think he'll be a lottery pick but not top 5...this is coming from a die-hard member of the Big Blue Nation

Kyle Anderson should probably be #4 on the list, behind Shabazz, Nerlens, & Zeller...time will tell whether he projects as a SF or PG but I agree with the way you've set his positions at the moment

Robert Covington from TSU plays SF quite a bit, in fact PF in their offense is more a SF position anyway...I've seen him play a few times and he looks like he'll be more of a SF in the pros, but I'd still keep him PF/SF

As a Cats fan this is hard for me to admit, but Peyton Siva & Dieng should probably be higher on the list...Dieng is still a project but his potential is through the roof & Siva is a solid PG...Behanan should definitely be in your 2014 class...I think I'm going to throw up now
