Anyone have updated rosters for 2k8?

Hey man. Have you passed on 2K10 and kept 2K8? I was thinking of just buying 2K8 but I could never get a good answer on the forums. What were your reasons for keeping 2K8?

I just never got around to buying 2K9, and I played 2K10 and did not like it, so I was wondering if there were others that were still playing it. I liked 2K8 it was a good game. Yeah I saw that thread but I wonder if that guy is still making the rosters.

he (randall) said it was a continued work in progress...what he's done so far is pretty good. i love 2k8 and have no desire to purchase another basketball game. with portlandblazer's historical rosters i'm set for life...

What sliders are you using?

I still have a copy of 2K8 but haven't played it in awhile. I still want to get 2K10 but I guess 2K8 will have to hold me over for now.

This is still my game of choice, I still play CH2k8 and I have kept this dynasty running to import my draft classes.

these might not be for everybody, but they're what i've been rolling with for some time (and these took me forever to fine-tune):

Fouls: charging, loose ball and blocking: 100
reaching and shooting: 80
substitutions: rotation

shooting (USER number first, then CPU)
close shot success: 50 / 50
mid range success: 50 / 50
3 pt. success: 50 / 50
dunk success: 40 / 40
dunks in traffic: 20 / 40

defense
steal success: 75 / 75
collision sensitivity: 75 / 75
pick success: 20 / 20
pick strength: 40 / 40

attributes
stealing: 95 / 75
blocking: 95 / 75
ball handling: 20 / 10
dunking ability: 25 / 25
offensive awareness: 55 / 55
defensive awareness: 70 / 70
offensive rebounding: 15 / 15
defensive rebounding: 50 / 50
chance of injury: 60 / 60
injury effects: 60 / 60
clutch factor: 0 / 0
fatigue rate: 45 / 50

tendencies
shoots inside: 50 / 35
shoots mid-range: 50 / 80

these might not be for everybody...i play simulation basketball, and most of my games are with historical rosters. but these make the game fun and challenging for me.

What does he have so far?

not totally sure...i really don't use them much. most all transactions, but he's still working on some rookie CAPs. i'd suggest you grab them and then see what you think. i'm more of an old-school nba guy and don't know all the players today (except for the celtics).
