retired numbers work-around?

I haven't used the online functions yet, but a couple days ago, I went on here to find my favorite 2k roster makers that make all my classic nba teams and they said, you can't use retired numbers, like #23 for jordan etc, but I just saw someone post a new roster slot and had all the retired numbers for the bulls. What happened? Did someone figure out how to work around this?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Re: retired numbers work-around?

Create your players and assign to a team (or trade legends to the team) and start a new Season or Association. Export your team and load it. From there, you can edit players to have the correct numbers. I've found that there is some kind of bug so that some of the players are deleted off your team when you export from Association, so I would recommend doing the Season instead.

Can't you edit the players' faces after the team is exported? Or, am I missing something here?

k, so if I already put all the legends on their old teams and wanted to start a season, what would I export? I'm confused about that part? I'm not puting all the legends on the same team and only exporting one team, i'm putting all the legends on their original team and want to start a new season and edit their numbers. I think i'm confused on that part

Re: retired numbers work-around?

^ you can only load 10 exported teams per roster so you could choose 10 teams only with players that need retired numbers for your association.
